Idk why life always insists on being so damn difficult. Honestly, it is a miracle that anyone is ever NOT depressed. Those with overflowing coffers never truly understand the struggle of the working class. But the way you always overcome is inspiring, Barry. God bless you, kind sir.

Just shows it’s not only the boat that has to be right, the Old Seadog has to be firing on all cylinders too. Good decision to go back, and you were rewarded with a good sail to Keppel Island. What a well deserved anchor beer! Enjoy, and looking forward to your next video Barry! 🍺🍕⛵️💙

Be careful of that leg Barry. Cellulitis Is nothing to mess with. I made a comment in one of your videos when you were talking about getting Cellulitis. I said that I had a bad case of Cellulitis in my right foot back in June 2023. Even though it is much better now (3/15/2024), I still have a very tender ankle on the right side. And the foot is still slightly larger than the left one. It seems that it takes forever to fully recover. Hopefully, you won't have a relapse while at sea. Be careful my friend! I'm happy that you are now back at sea and making some great videos.

I don't know how you do it Barry! Your ocean scenes are so much more stunning, and clear, with more point of view mastery comes across on the pixels so much more than other sailing youtubers. You really feel more a sense of the remoteness.

It’s interesting how life will throw these curve balls our way They are not entirely by chance,but looking back you will see they are there to send a message,in times of disparity when you feel utterly helpless and feel like giving up it brings out a resilience which will make you stronger than you ever thought possible. Many,many times you have faced such challenges but in your sovereignty you rise above them calling back your power and strength. This is why we love following you ✨💫👏👏🫡

Well done Berry! For the next longer stop in civilized areas, maybe you should have a checklist and go through the whole boat systematically. Rebuild the engine, rebuild the electrical system, go over the whole rig etc.... Everything to avoid unpleasant surprises, because they almost always come when you least want them. Because you know we want your best, for completely selfish reasons, we want more of your videos 😂💕😀😄🇸🇪

With the lazy jacks, if you have them coming down from the sides of the mast you’ve got a very narrow throat, move them as far out along the spreaders if possible, gives a nice wide open throat and makes mainsail handling much easiet

Dear Barry, I want to say how sad I am that I feel that I have to write the following comments to you. In doing so, I am in awe with your achievements and you have my total respect and admiration for the courage to go out and "Do It." So many including yours truly can only dream about what you are doing. However, there is a however in this letter. Frankly, I think you have put a lot of blame for your mishaps and misfortunes on Bundaberg. Sometimes you need to take stock of yourself and what you do next. You overlooked a few things when you first left Bundaberg on the first day of the video. The issues you mentioned were caused by you, and had nothing to do with City of Bundaberg, or the marina that you stayed at. By the way I am not a resident of Bundaberg or Queensland. I have always been quite amazed at the way you carry water and fuel for example. and how you stow things on the deck. I note that in this segment two containers, probably more, were quite lose. What else is not in its right place waiting to come lose and to cause a problem? You set off without the AIS having its correct dedicated aerial having mistakenly swapped it over with the radio arial. You also forgot to connect the wires to your depth sounder. Barry you are sailing in the largest Barrier Reef in the world. a depth sounder is not a luxury it is essential, ask Captain Cook. Why did you do that? I think Barry, maybe you are getting tired of the nomadic lifestyle. Your journey has been momentous and incredible to say the least, It is an achievement few mortals have achieved or even aspire to achieve. I have been with you since the start and have appreciated the videos, but I just think that the complaints about Shaddie, Bundaberg etc. may be a sign of a fatigue and tiredness that may need you to take a complete break from Shaddie for a while. Walk away for a while, go back to your family and rest that leg, so you can return again with the vigor of the early days. It is far better to do that and come back to Shaddie than for you to continue and maybe make a mistake you may not be able to overcome. Think about giving yourself a break Barry, the audience can wait. Whatever you decide, I wish all the very best.
@FUKITOL-z7y9 ай бұрын
A working depth sounder would be advisable. Great comment! The Reef might have some surprises. Only sailed there once . Nov/des, no gps, and it was an experience. I sang this in Townsville for a girl. " I call out to the ocean, my tears fall into the the sea . For the lost that have been been broken, across the dunes of of time repeatedly. kzbin.info/www/bejne/n6qvdYaEhbyNmJI

Poor Barry, as my late Mum used to say, if it is not one thing, it is something else. And now you have more than just something else to deal with. I can feel your frustrations and it is OK, men can cry especially behind dark sunglasses. It looked the perfect day to set sail, but I bet now on your return your fellow seamen will be pleased to see you again. Just look on the bright side, better this happened now than at some distant island with no facilities.
