Love the passage videos, they are calming in a way. Congrats, you managed to get some impressive swell on video! Thats so hard to film. Spirit is trucking, she could go faster but first give her the much needed TLC. Keep the videos coming! They are great.

You have some seas. Boat seems to take it all in stride. Boat motion is very seakindly. The swell does show up on video, for those who know what to look for. Definitely 3 to 4 meters.

There's a pretty sizeable ground swell building, long period, it's from a way off. Tucked down and sprinting along.

Yep we had a ground swell rolling in from down south after a big low past near NZ about 1,200nm away.

I love these updates! You are just so calm and explain everything, which is amazing. Other youtube channels would have been, "Disaster as sea, DO WE MAKE IT!" and you're just like. Oh ya the autopilot shutdown, so I just replaced a fault cable and had to recalibrate it at sea, no biggy have a great sail!

When you were in the cabin at the beginning of the video I didn't hear any creaking, does spirit not creak? She looks so good in that rough sea 🌊 wow, nice boat, I'm impressed 👌. Keep up the great work.

No as she’s got no interior linings she has zero creaking only the water slapping on the hull 😁🙏

@@TrimaranSpiritXL There is a Hammerhead for sale in Ireland that I was considering. The interior needs to be gutted and the pricing does not leave room for that level of work. I've moved on to cat shopping for now. I love the boat and have really enjoy seeing your trip across the Pacific.

That was some brilliant electronics trouble shooting. Without that it would have been a long tiring succession of hand steering watches. Was it corrosion in the cable ends or pinched cable or chaff or …?

Cheers was a relief to find the issue that’s for sure. Wasn’t any obvious corrosion issues these backbones are known to get old and have issues so I guess it’s to be expected after so long without any love. We carry a heap of spares so it’s all cool 😁
