hi guys, just thought i would give you a heads up about your swivel connected directly to your anchor, this is how they fail, best to add a few links between the swivel and the anchor, google side loaded anchor swivels and you will see how they fail, boats looking great!

Another successful day at the boat yard. I’m not a sailor or a boat owner, but, personally, I like the logo where you put it better than moving it centered between the bow and the front of the first window. Sometimes, things are too symmetrical and can be a bit boring to look at. The way that good looking logo is positioned makes it more interesting to see.
@RedwonMactamhais Жыл бұрын
Yes you ladies I agree. I would have centered it either between the bow and window corner, or centered between the stanchion posts. That kind of stuff sets my "Something Doesn't Look Right Alarm" off as well. My eyes want to see knt centered to some point of reference just like yours. But it is a nice looking graphic, it came out great, and most people don't get bothered by something as minor as a decal not being perfectly centered anyway.

That anchor is tiny for that size boat. Its awesome you are sizing anew anchor. The biggest Mantis Anchor that will fit is always best. Your old anchor can be a spare or even stern anchor when needed. An extra hurricane anchor so you can make a Y can come in handy also.

Haha, ask people what they think about placement of the Logo but of course Tye being Tye he just get's stuff done. It looks good and is your boat after all and I do normally side with Tye but this time I think I have to side with the ladies, it would have looked better centered IMHO. Fair winds, following seas, safe travels and God Bless...

Maluku Indonesia is the island you almost lost. SE Indonesian island Part of the Banda Arc. Interesting that the logo made extra islands out of some areas that are actually connected there. Would’ve thought the simplified map graphic would connect things not separate. 🤷🏻♂️ Looks awesome, hope you make it there someday

Recommend: use the bow , distance to top edge (chine?) and bottom chine: the eye wants either equal distance or slightly larger space below than above, but always same distance on the side as the top, EXACTLY like references for the shape of the matting around a painting or photo. The left and vertical references are your outride edges of the “matting” around a painting. P.S. LOVE your logo!!❤

Wow. I can see letting the kids try out in the ocean, where they can't run into anything, or run aground. But you can chalk this up to a very bad decision.
@btrotta Жыл бұрын
No. You learn by doing. There's an old saying: there are two types of sailors, those who have run aground, and those who will. Syd got hers out of the way in a place where there was little potential for damage and learned an important lesson she's unlikely to forget - check the chart before you travel in unfamiliar waters.
@jeffreyalberson9742 Жыл бұрын
@@btrotta I'm all for letting someone try. But do it way out in the ocean where there's zero chance for damage, not around other boats or people .
