That's what good education does: it helps young people to become the master of their lives instead of being a slave to somebody. You set sail and discover new avenues for your life. Bravo!

Hi guys. We are anchored on the island of Ponza watching you video from our wifi. Another stunning video that struck a point with us as there is no wind for the next 4 days to get to the mainland and our winter berth. But hey, it's lovely here. Tranquil, good sunlight for the solar and lots of beach walks for the pooches. Why hurry? The poetry in the description is very good. Sail safe. Ant, Cid and the . pooch crew xx.

I sailed and raced a lot in Asia where there can be very little wind, while it is frustrating at times, it also hones your sailing skills! So much love and joie de vivre expressed between the two of you, it's so uplifting to watch your adventures each week.

Lovely music, perfect for a wonderful sunset! Dolphins like to jump out vertically in the air to listen to the music! It happened to me off Corfu town on Easter morning while Bach music was being played from loudspeakers ashore. Enjoy the Aeolians !!

GUYS, RE : NO WIND... In 1579 the great Portuguese navigator Ferdinand Magellan set sail for the west coast of the Americas. When they got to the horse latitudes all wind stopped. None. Zip.Nada. For 20 days the ship was adrift under a blazing hot sun. There was no relief for the crew. Topside was roasting under a blistering hot sun & below decks it was sweltering hot. Only at night was there any relief to be had. As the days dragged on the freshwater began to run low. The ship had some livestock aboard. Chickens, pigs, cows to feed the crew, but they also brought along some horses for exploring ashore. To ration their meager water supplies, all animals were thrown overboard. On the 21st day, the wind returned. Slight at first but grew stronger as the days passed. !

light air sailing takes lots of concentration and skill . anyone can make a boat go in 20kt . many a race is won by the guy that can sail in the light stuff.

"... 32 but she is only 28 feet tall" obviously the fall was harder than we thought! ;-) Makes me chuckle every time. Sorry my dear Magic Carpet, the humans cannot help but to explain, insensitive as it may seem. Does anyone else sense a very brief refrain, merely a few notes I think but I am NO musician, of the "Gilligan's Island" "a 30 minute trip" theme during the intro music? Thank you for the tell tale info! Sir, your sailing skills do appear, to me, to be improving! OK, I will shut up now, since exactly nothing changed... But good lesson nonetheless.

Sometimes it is good to use a little fuel and allow the motor to make some progress. Those sails are flogging, and they detest it. In my boat, the cost of a mainsail is half the cost of a motor, complete. Let the motor cope and save the sails for another day.

@SailingMagicCarpet
@SailingMagicCarpet 4 жыл бұрын
This is one of the easiest and yummiest. Aglio olio e peperoncino. Use spaghettini While pasta cooks heat some garlic in a bit of oil in a separate pan. Once pasta is al dente! Strain it Crank the heat on the frying pan Add spicy chilly flakes maybe some more olive oil and the pasta. Spin for half a minute and done! A classic addition to that is the “parmesan of the poor” Wich consits in toasted bredcrumbs They stick to the spaghetti, absorb some of the oil and gives it some crunch! Have to try it Buon appettito ~ aladino

When you see dolphins I've noticed you don't jump in the water and try to swim with them. I know if the boat is moving there would be a good reason why not to. But when your boat isn't moving is there any reason why you don't just jump in anytime you see dolphins?
