Man, you guys did SO SO good over there!! We spent way more. Fuel, Food, and the few marinas we stayed in really added up. I think so many people have this question and it all depends how you do it. There is definitely room to do it even cheaper than you did if someone is really on a budget and just wants to get sailing over there. And of course, if you need those comforts you can do it for WAY more $$$. Miss you guys, hopefully we see you soon!!!

We saved money by stocking up in Florida before we left. Food was so expensive there that we had to swing through Florida again to provision for our Atlantic crossing. The best way to save money there was to anchor and bring your own stuff. Thanks for showing how it went for you guys. It’s good to know how it went for others as well :)

Hey Antonio!! Thank you! Actually we DID mean to speak about it but accidentally skipped it on our notes. But what we found, was there are NOT a lot of services for pump outs in the islands. There are areas (Georgetown, being one) that they used to but it broke down years ago. And suffice to say some of the boats never move. So we can only assume what is happening. So don’t swim with your mouth open 🤭 we have a nature’s head toilet, so no pump outs for us.
@Travelocidad5 жыл бұрын

89.00 dollars for six months of laundry. Bullshit meter just went through the roof. What, you didn't have to buy detergent or fabric softer. You never used a taxi to, get you two too, the laundry room. What??? you guys only get to use two outfits a week. No money was spent on the gasoline for the dinghy. Too get you two , to the laundry room. You need to go back and really look at your numbers...... P.s.. When your doing that. I'll be checking for all the grammar mistakes in my post..;)
@BeauAndBrandy5 жыл бұрын
You heard it correctly. 89 on the laundry cost was for the machine use. And the detergent was wrapped in the grocery bill. Because no one has time to break all of that info out. And no transport was used in getting to the laundry machines bc most were at the marinas we were anchored near... we could use theirs (as we mentioned in the video). And we told you how much we spent on the dinghy gas, which included those trips getting us to the laundry machines...bc again how are we going to break that cost out? Hope that fixes the setting on your bullshit meter for you ;) thanks for watching. Hope that it was helpful to find out that it truly can be affordable way to visit the islands!
