Your baby is beautiful! She is so fun to watch. She loved the reflections on top of the winch. She frowned when you brought that piece of toast close to her like she was trying to figure out just what it was. I love how she watched you peel that orange. She looks like she is curious about things more than a baby her age usually is. She is going to learn fast and be smart!

Yep....you have to be careful to catch that lock at high tide. I went thru once at low tide with a 4'11" draft, ran aground and sat there for hours until the tide came up. The key is to stay to the left after you come out of the lock...it is deeper over there.

Man, I can't wait till I drop into the water I am super jealous I have had it with all these land dwellers you are literally living your best life what more could you ask for you have your gorgeous family an awesome boat and the rest of the world to see it in now more than ever considering whats going on. I completely understand what you are saying tho how you felt you always had to get off the boat or needed something but either on land or on the water it always ends up that way until you anchor up and realize why you started the journey in the first place so be it a child or gorgeous dinner with the wife and a mountain background in the MED. Every day when I wake up I try to stay in the present time and enjoy the moment because TIME IS THE ONLY NON-RENEWABLE RESOURCE THAT A MAJORITY OF US FORGET ABOUT. Cheers mate keep living the dream and I will see you one day on the anchorage.

You have a gorgeous baby,but you've got more guts then we had. We raised 6 daughters and we can't imagine sailing and living on a boat with an infant or even a child. You guys have your work cut out for you and we commend you for being able to do this. Just remember to take time for yourselves and time for you ❤️ to have time together. Your baby is a priority, but it's also very important not to get so involved with the baby you forget to have time as a couple like you did before the baby came into your lives.

I went through several boats till I found a smaller one, a 26 that was really a 27 foot, that had enough headroom for my 6'2" in the main cabin. That was 1988 and It was a 1977 model. in 2008 bought a Watkins "33" that had over 6'8" headroom throughout plus that was a dropped ceiling! Nice and spacious downbelow! Also had a bigger Vberth and bigger quarter berths. Although not considered ocean going. I altered the stern rail to a gate and added a large swim platform that was mounted on two pivots so it could be hauled up underway with the inflateable above it all on the davits. All stainless of course and the platform surface was "plastic wood". I had plans to build a hard dodger but never did it and sold it in 2018. Already had a Morgan Out Island 30 but that sold in 2019

Favorite things of your channel are I think you have 1 of the best coastal cruiser designs and I like all of the inland channel time. Most of my experience is relatively open water so the channels and inland bays are very interesting. All the people promoting multi-hulls would miss out on all of this. I realize you might have changed boats by now but I prefer to live in video time and not know any of those details early. Thanks for wonderful videos!

What a simply peaceful and fun episode ‼️ ✌️ Reminded me of taking our new baby out on our 36 footer in Penobscot Bay, Maine. When he needed to sleep we just put him in the v-birth, head towards the bow and packed cushions and pillows around him and let him rock back-and-forth to the motion of the ocean. Worked every time and mom and dad had time together. What a happy child your daughter is. A real cutie pie ✨ 👼 ✨ 🌸

Finally... We have been watching from the start and this is the FIRST time we saw you two GET IT. Cruising is always about the journey, not the destination. And yes... You should get a boat that "fits" you. We worked and searched and finally (after 6 years) found the boat that fits us... under contract now... survey to be scheduled... wish us luck! But YES... finally you two are cruising... which has more to do with "living in the moment" than "moving towards... whatever". Kudos!! and Renata is ti die for! (I have 5 kids, 3 in their 30s'... and my baby girl turned 18, graduated June 2020 and is living on her own now...) That drone shot at about 11:51 is pretty slick. Nice work. It seems like there is a lot of visual feedback on your boat from all the highly polished things. Sitting in front of the winch with the shiny pole right there and that fabric flapping in the wind and in the reflection must have had lots of synapses firing. I wonder how that affects things like manual dexterity and cognitive development. You make me wish my daughters were that age again. Thanks for the videos. :-)
@SailingSoulianis2 жыл бұрын
We actually got lucky with that drone shot. Kirk had set it just to hover, but for some reason it chose that exact moment to shoot skyward. It's the ONE time it decided to do its own thing and we weren't pissed off about it 😂 -L
@dougintothesunset2 жыл бұрын
@@SailingSoulianis That's amazing! Here I had the idea that you had figured out a way to set a timer and have the drone rise at a specific time. Whichever way the whole thing is a great shot . . . . I'm not going to lie though, I heard the lion king/pride rock sound in my head.
