Just found your KZbin channel. I love the idea of sailing and I have a German Shepard as well. Thanks for posting. I’m excited to watch all of your journey.

Found your channel when looking for KZbin videos regarding the EcoFlow AC/heater. I just bought one for my van and I’m excited. Liked your video about it so I decided to check out your channel. Here I am! New subscriber starting from the beginning, binge watching your channel. My heart broke seeing Jackson in the crate when you picked him up. It’s so frightening and stressful for animals. They don’t know what’s going on. Can’t wait to watch all the wonderful adventures he gets to go on 💞

Surprised no one asked, how many hours was Jackson stuck in the crate with no loo break?

I know hey?! The poor guy! His longest flight was 12 hours from Sydney to Abu Dhabi! So glad it is over and done with and years in the past now. Wouldn’t out him through that again!

Hey fellow Aussies Ryan ,Brittni and Wonder Dog Jackson. We just discovered your channel ,have subscribed and now intend to watch your adventures from the beginning (will also let ALL the ads run through) Come this October my wife and I are looking at doing exactly what you guys are doing (just days after our Daughters wedding ) Packing up, renting out and shifting across to Europe to look for a boat and then go where the winds takes us! Out of interest where in the Med did you complete your Day Skipper Certification ? Also what about any boat insurance issues. Looking forward to catching up on all of your adventures. Cheers Nige .

That’s awesome!!! Congrats, that’s amazing to hear! We bought the boat in Malta and did it there. We also our VHF course there too. We are insured through Panteanius. Only issue with insurance is that the rigging needs to be replaced every 10yrs, as ours is 2008, it needed to be done.

@@SailingSunday Thanks guys. Up until now we had only considered Gibraltar ($$cost) but having now looked further into Malta there is not much difference in cost ...but much warmer climate in the Winter /Autumn.(who did you go with in Malta?) We've now also seen your later video on how, who, what and where with some great links and contacts .. Henry . Cheers from Noosa!

What service did you use to fly your dog? I'm so afraid flying our two rescues will absolutely traumatize them.
@SailingSunday2 жыл бұрын
Yeah it was really bad experience for him. We used Jetpets in Australia, There was an emergency on the plane and he got diverted to Singapore which wasn't JetPets fault though. We saw the plane had been diverted while he was flying and Jetpets were onto it, keeping us informed along the way, but it was stressful and took much longer than planned with quite a few stop overs...

Great videos. What was your job before or do you work online.

Thank You :), I've always worked for myself in the building industry doing home renos etc and Brittni worked at the radio station for many years. We literally threw away a good prosperous life back home to embark on this adventure living day by day now. It all really hit home when our friend tragically passed away and we thought, S#@t......, lifes just too short, screw all this hustle and bustle, rents, lease, loans, credits, contracts etc etc etc, lets just go live life, enjoy it and be free.

Found your channel and started to binge from the beginning. I plan on selling everything myself and starting a similar journey in about a year so I'm trying to learn as much as I can now. Is there any particular boat size you would recommend going with to start? I was looking between 34-42. I want to do ocean crossings as well.
@SailingSunday2 жыл бұрын
Thats awesome to hear! I would recommend what you're looking at, anywhere between 36'-42'. We got a 46' because of Jackson, we wanted/needed the extra room for him. but the larger boat will be more stable and quicker for an Atlantic crossing though, but we met so many friends on 33' - 38'' boats who all crossed without any hassles. We all left at the same time crossing the Atlantic Ocean and we were only about 1 or 2 days ahead of them on ours.

Just started watching your channel and wonder how hard it was to get Jackson into Europe from Aus ?
@SailingSunday5 жыл бұрын
Marcello Davanzo hi! Thanks for watching!! Australia’s so strict, that getting out is easy, getting back in is hard! So we just did our research but essentially we had his vaccinations already up to date, so it was just his rabies shot and blood test 4 weeks later. We used JetPets who did all the paperwork and flew him to Malta but it cost us an absolute arm and a leg!
@itsmePassport4 жыл бұрын
Did you buy the boat cash or a mortgage..?
@SailingSunday4 жыл бұрын
We bought it outright, we risked it all and sold everything back home in Austrlaia to go on this wild adventure! Hopefully we don't regret it and end up back in Australia on the streets in a few years! lol
