Күн бұрын

Sailing back to the exact point we left the UK 7 years ago to sail around the world brought forth a lot of emotions. Coupled with meeting family for the first time in 6.5 years, and visiting stunning anchorages on England's South Coast, it was an emotional return.
We have been sailing around the world for 7 years after setting off from England in 2016 on board our 37ft sail boat Florence. Join us as we share the highs, lows, and challenges of travelling around the world by boat, Sailing offshore across the Oceans and exploring remote locations with our own little tiny house. Boat life out at sea on the ocean and off the grid.

Thank you all for the amazingly kind and positive comments, not just on this video but also throughout the year, they really do make a difference to inspire and motivate us to keep on filming and editing. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas wherever you are. We'll see you again in the homecoming video which will be up in the new year. Best Wishes Matt and Amy

And a Wonderful Merry Christmas and happy New Year to both of you and family!! I'm starting search for minimally adequate drone to be used with sailboat meaning confident recovery is critical. What did you choose or reccomend? Anyone familiar if Holy Stone HS720G is up to the task?

I really enjoy your channel. You never overdramatize, and, you work together, and rely on each other to get through situations as they arise. I'm not a sailor .... and will never be, but, your approach to working together and solving problems as they arise, is amazing. Wishing you safe and continued adventures. You're truly a team, of, about and for each other.

You gave me the proper chills talking about Amy's Father and brought me to tears... I am sure her Father is well aware and in fact, showed you the way to safe harbor and the completion of your circumnavigation...and will manifest that in some unexpected event to come. Thanks so much for sharing your adventures with us. You 2 are legends!

“Life changing” is perhaps an understatement but not just for you two. Those of us who have followed you have also been affected - some like me have tried to do something different in our own little way, others have just enjoyed the “ride”. You are a wonderful couple - wonder how many litres of tears were spilled by your emotional narrative. Thank you both for sharing your lives with us all and hope you can get a few days rest over Christmas 🤗🤗 🎄🎄

I saw a bit of phone footage of your return, glad that you returned with a flotilla of supporters and can not wait to see your higher quality viewpoint of the day. If you head up the Irish Sea next year, you will pass my island and if time allows, it would be an honour to invite you ashore for a few hours or a few days to see the sights and learn some of the Celtic and Viking history, oh and our ice cream is glorious too 🙂 Nollick Ghennal as Blein Vie Noa (Merry Christmas and Happy New Year) to you both, Cair Vie (Fair winds) and I'll raise a glass and wish you many exciting adventures in 2024.

I am absolutely smitten with the dinghy your father built Amy; I am hoping to one day attempt to copy it. And I want to add that, I don’t care what your destination is, and I may not fit the algorithm, but I just want more sailing with you and Florence! I don’t want destinations, and I don’t care about glittery new boats, just take me with you when care to share your adventures! A humble thank you for sharing your travels with Florence, I have been with you from the beginning, and I have no plans to leave until you are done with me. Fair winds and following seas!

What! You're back already! It seems like you just left only ... SEVEN years ago! Any trepidation of commencing a circumnavigation has disappeared after the fact! The experiences of such a voyage will last a lifetime and provide many happy memories on your lonely night watches sailing the Arctic! (Most of them in the Caribbean and the South Pacific I imagine!) Dominic & Carly from CADOHA have compiled a very nice and useful DB of the ports and anchorages on the Cornish Coast. It is on their website listed in their Channel particulars when the time comes to use them. Until then "UMA", NBJS ("Tessie"), "Millennium Falcon", "Alluring Arctic", and even the crew of "Delos" are among the ones I've seen 'sailing with icebergs'! Most of the civilization of Greenland is in Baffin Bay. I just recently watched a very interesting documentary about Greenland and can find it for you if you decide you will visit there. Enjoy your time ashore and the DIY of boat maintenance! Since it is Christmas Eve as I write this, I wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas from Michigan!

Back then in 2016, I didnt know if I would make it another year (diabetes)...but following you and a few others (UMA, ATTICUS, RAN) showed me that courage is also to take our life in our hands and changing what could be changed and letting go what had to go! For sure BigPharma got a kick in the b...! Now 7 years later, I am in much better condition that I was and it is certainly in a big part bart because of you! Cheers Florence Love you!

I realize you are going to sail to the arctic and then around the UK. But for me I'll miss all the unknown that you two experienced.
