Clarinetist Stewart Newbold (1953-2022) was an Affiliate Artist with Doane College (Crete, Nebraska) in 1976-77. With his accompanist (Doane piano instructor, Phil Jones), Newbold toured the state giving workshops, "informances," and formal recitals.
The Clarinet Sonata, Opus 167, was composed by Camille Saint-Saens in 1921 (the year of the composer's death).
