I look at consistently winning and getting your team a chance in the playoffs. Throughout his career he is more likely to not make the playoffs than to make them. That doesn't sound like an all time great to me. No other position has more say in if a team wins than QB so that is the benchmark. Also, Brady is more likely to make a super bowl than Brees is to make the playoffs. Chew on that for your assessment of greatness.

I agree. If anything, it forces the conversation regarding the state of officiating as a whole. All year long, there have been issues with officiating and so it was not really surprising that something that big would happen. The league has to look at it very seriously and maybe think about having full-time referees and/or also discontinue the use of all-star crews. Referees themselves, active and retired, should have several seats at the table because, they, better than anyone can talk about what would make their job easier and would help them be more efficient. Players, coaches can also talk about it from their point of view. Combined, they can probably come up with a number of solutions that would elevate the game and help everybody do their job. We all acknowledge that it is never going to be perfect but that doesn't mean that we should not want it to be better. One of the biggest problems I see with the league is that it is always reactionary instead of being proactive, regardless of the issue. When you constantly in a position to react you tend to make decisions that are not thoroughly thought out and more problems arise. When you are proactive and plan, you have more opportunities to get it right and if/when problems arise as times change, you can adapt more easily.

What is always left out of these conversations is the intense distrust Saints fans have for the NFL while Roger Goodell is Commissioner. This distrust occurred long BEFORE this (particular) obvious missed call (we have so many other examples, as well). We Saints fans are not surprised the league jobbed us again; we are angry that they jobbed us again. Goodell's silence for that extended period was a dismissal of Saints' nation and his dishonesty about having spoken with players just added salt. But they have messed with the wrong fan base; we will not let this go. So many other team's fans have been supportive of us, even our 'rivals'. And what's important is that if your team is not one of the golden teams that always get calls and breaks (and we all know who those teams are), then our loud objections actually serve you and your team as well so that integrity and accuracy can be infused into this game we love. Games are NOT slow because of replay, they are slow because of TV commercials; integrity in game outcomes is paramount. TV commercials can be played by split screen or below screen without disrupting play. The other joke is player safety; this apparently goes out the window for the playoffs with 'let them play.' Wouldn't it be more accurate and safer to have the same standards of technique vs foul officiating continue into the playoffs? plus it would be safer if players knew they and their team would be held accountable. WHODAT. And for this weekend, go Pats (yes, one of the Golden teams).

That Steelers Saints game this year was all called in the Saints favor, if that game was reffed correctly the saints lose and the Rams would have been at home with the #1 seed Every single team has been fucked by bad calls and bad refs, EVERY team every year

The fact that Sean Payton is allowed to coach in the league is a travesty. It should be a crime to pay players to injure and threaten the livelihood of other players. Still intentionally injuring players even in the game. Saints have zero ground to stand on, get over it

To hear all the records this young man ALREAFY has makes one wonder why HE isn't ever considered as one of the GOAT's. Clearly most take the LAZY way out measure TEAM accomplishments. In talking about INDIVIDUALS we have specific results to look back on. On top of that, what a good human being for ALL fans to be proud of.

Here a question was a flag every throw during the super bowl for a pass- Interferences? If no flag was throw it because of the Saints game (Scripted).

Wrong. Donald was face masked & Brookers was held. At best it would have been offsetting penalties. Don't forget that Brees also got the ball first OT. PLAIN & SIMPLE Rams are the better Team & peaking at the right time

Eisen said something definitive towards the end. Something has to be done to stop *that* play. The problem is: *that* play will never happen in *that* way again. Everyone wants *that* play to be rectified but it won't be. It's over. Affecting how replay is used on judgement calls won't make things better.
