What makes it a unique anime is that this doesnt have a happily ending like you though youll get. antagonist die sometimes Unexpectedly Just like real life. Main character changes its physical form sometimes just like real life. I feel inlove with this anime. Thats why it doesnt make me daijoubu. Because im feeling great.

With respect, personally I don't think Demon Slayer is best anime of the year. I love Demon Slayer....but the story and characters just aren't at that level. The character design, animation, and music choices are great (especially in ep 19 towards the end)... but Vinland Saga is great on every level. That is what makes anime of the year. I don't see any inconsistencies in the story.... as some have commented, but I'd love to hear their thoughts on this. Demon Slayer has 5th grade dialogue. It's not a hard anime to write. It's a pretty simple anime, there aren't that many layers to it.

@@ashwin2573 Rather than simply criticizing it, I think she/he only made a pretty darn good comparison between these two works. As an avid reader and a fanfiction writer, I can say for sure what she/he said is true. It's not that hard to create Demon Slayer's dialogue. There are many fanfic writers out there who managed to recreate dialogue while still maintaining Demon Slayer's writing elements. But Vinland Saga? Damn, I couldn't even write a short story between two characters because I'm afraid of messing them up (out of character) ... and I think it's crystal clear that VS's characters have so many layers that it is hard to write. Also, Demon Slayer is shonen while Vinland Saga is seinen. Clearly, even the genres are already telling something. Shonen animes like Demon Slayer and My Hero Academia are meant to attract younger audiences; therefore the dialogues are meant to be easy-to-digest and comprehend. Vinland Saga is not only meant for older audiences, but is also a bit "boring" because of its historical-based content. I hate to repeat myself, but I seriously couldn't write a fanfic between two characters of Vinland Saga because the writing team done such an amazing job.

I honestly do believe that when people are watching an anime, they determine how good it is with the breathtaking spectacles, flashing lights, and animation quality, rather than the story, characters, or cinematography. Great amv, gotta love it when you see a quality amv. Nowadays bigger creators just slap shit together and it's horrible. Like to see their are still creators making amv's like this with a story and concept to follow them.
