I put it on a 62" wingspan MX ARF that weighed about 8 pounds. It didn't have vertical aerobatic power. So I'm guessing that the thrust was a bit less than the full up weight. The lack of a (really) pumping carburetor was also a big problem. Changing airspeed caused bad leaning of the carburetor, in the air.

Hello I’m thinking of getting one of these, when it’s cold does it need a choke?

@@Garethfrostturkeythroat113 Sorry, I don't remember. I need to link you to my friend on Rcgroups who has been flying it and likes it a lot 👍

Thats really rich fuel

On initial start up and run in, the engine is supposed to be so rich that it shouldn't be able to rev to 5K at WOT. You do this for the first two tanks. Then the next two tanks you start leaning the high speed needle. My FG-21 was so rich, oil was spaying out the crankcase vent.

Disgusting!!! Firstly, you must break it in. Right way to damage!

I just bought an FG-21 new and they're very specific on the breaking-in. Ten second on idle to warm it up, then rich up the fuel mixture so it won't go above 4k rpms at WOT. At least 2 tanks running it this way until you can start to leaning it up a bit.
