I was just about to comment that a solo character that gets snapped loses their red life and a solo character recovers red life if they small their opponent. At least, that's what I gathered from the tutorials. I could be wrong

You snap on a solo character to get rid of red life. Likewise, if you snap while playing a solo character you gain red life.

I see this question a lot, about multi-hit High and Low moves in SG. Saying it again here: Multi-hit moves that are high or low become mids after one hit makes contact. So Filia's j. MP is still high if it hits late, but as soon as a single hit touches them, they can block the rest of it mid. This is true of all multi-hit highs and lows for all characters. Oh yeah, and this is unrelated, but there's another advantage to resetting early. Your meter gain when you land a hit is scaled by the same amount as damage scaling, and your opponent's meter gain goes the opposite way. If you just do two and half big, full length combos to kill somebody, your opponent gets, like, three and a half bars. Reset early and often, and they can lose a character with barely more than the one bar they started with.

I haven't watched the full video yet. Did Sajam ever learn that hitting a solo character with a Snap Back bites off all their red health, and using a Snap Back as a solo character heals all your own red life?

Sajam, just wondering if you know about the hit indicators to let you know if a person was hit high/low/counterhit? A blue ?! When hit shows you were blocking low and got hit with an overhead. Orange !!!! Means you are stand blocking and got hit with a low. A red broken heart means it was a counter hit and you were recovering from frames somewhere. With skullgirls fast pace matchups and running into situations where you have a ton of shit on screen watching for these spark indicators make sure you are calling the right situation.

Some of the things I noticed from robo fortune. St. Mp is makoto's st. Mp from 3s. Cr. HP is based on Dr. Doom's cr. HP launcher from mvc2 and S from mvc3 The air fireball is based on Souther's air fireball from the Hokuto No Ken game by arcsys. (asked Mike Z himself about that) Has the crouching and standing beams like cyclops and war machine. Has Ironman's unibeam. The air kick is both spinning bird kick and robo-Ky's j. D. The anitair grab super is based on Iron Tager's atomic collider. There's probably more, but those are what I could pick out.

Regarding super after Filia air throw. Filia's typical air throw combo is Air throw > 214HK > (air) dash button. You can't cancel hair ball into (air) dash if you've already used your air dash in that jump so in resets that use air dash (j.LP > air dash > throw) you need to use super to conver after the 214HK.

Yo I do that exact same note thing all the time whenever im picking up a new fighting game. I did it a few weeks ago for learning julia in tekken and had like 4 physical pages of notes that i kept thumbing through during matches to figure out reliable pokes and whiff punishers that id forget easily if i just watched the video w/o writing some of it up. take notes it works

I've always enjoyed watching this game, but after hearing that it was going to be officially in EVO, I feel an impetus to learn the game. So far, the characters that popped out to me was Big Band (Because he's cool AF) and Peacock (from watching Mr Peck). Does anyone know if that duo is sufficient or should I go for a 3rd character? I know that Peacock is a zoner and Big Band goes with every team, but is that enough?

I usually see Big Band and Peacock players play a 3-team. But, you're gonna be the one playing for yourself, so if you're comfortable with just Peacock and Big Band just stick with it. I just watched a Skullgirls top 8 with a solo Peacock, which seems crazy to me. But apparently, the guy even beat Mike Z with her, to make it into top 8.

Band is a great assist for Peacock. H brass or Beat Extend can really help to fill the gaps in her zoning game. On the flip side LK or MK bomb assist can help make big band's big YOLO armored moves safe and Peacock also gives him a safe DHC option.

PeaBand is a classic duo and works very well so you definitely don't need a 3rd if you don't want it. You get two of the highest characters in the game + Pea gives Band a safe DHC + L George makes Band's neutral ridiculous since it makes it far harder to punish stuff like Brass on block (and Band's so big that he shields Pea during the startup). For Band assists, as Jason said, BE or Brass are the ways to go. BE has great vertical reach and boosts your defence as well as letting you setup the item drop left/right and Brass makes your zoning really strong.

I use notes on my phone. In every game I play a lot of characters and have notes. In tekken I play everyone to learn matchups so I have notes on every tekkeb character on how they’re played and the general matchup

Sajam, the reason you'd snap on solos is to take away red health. Similarly, solos recover red health when snapping someone else.
