Thank you for this recipe. My dad said this is his favourite breakfast recipe growing up, so I want to make it for him and take him back to his childhood :) can you please tell me if we are supposed to be wash the beaten rice? I once tried to make it without a washing and it turned out very dry. Thank you

We don't wash the beaten rice. It becomes soft with the moisture present in coconut.
