on the citadel how to you think prison works? I mean based on life spans a sularian has a very a short life-span so for example a human may receive 5 yeas for theft, should salarians receive the same length? as it is a much larger percentage of their life and their is asari outrageously long life 5 years would be a mear drop in the pond
@larsavaleth81517 жыл бұрын
i think it based on the culture for the race they come from for example the loss of a hand for one race and imprisonment of another. the council main rule was not to interfere in the culture beliefs of it members this is why slavery exist in the bartarian and yet looked down on in the rest of the galaxy it would also include their rules
@jamieskeels71257 жыл бұрын
that actually hadn't crossed my mind thanks

Imagine how depressing a life sentence would be for an Asari, over 800 years of imprisonment.
@TeddyKrimsony3 жыл бұрын
by the time mass effect takes place incarceration is considered a cruel punishment, instead the punishment is financial and is proportional to the damages caused (at least for humanity). However, in citadel space the criminals are referred to the counter-crime department of their respective species.

hey their i love the series and i enjoy them. i noticed you didn't mention the sarlaians were the ones accidentally started the rachni war when open activated an uncharted mass relay leading to the reason why all relays have to be charted before activation, why the first contact war began. or how they uplifted the krogon to fight that war and later created the genofage that turians used on the krogon to slow down thier birth rate and end the rebellions.

How well would a Salarian and a Vulcan get along?
@flyingfoamtv21692 жыл бұрын
vulkans would think the salarians were illogical for always pushing forward without consulting their past, the salarians would call the logic of thr vulkans into question due to the prevelence of religion in vulkan culture.

i don't think they thought the whole "males hatch from unfertilized eggs, females from fertilized eggs" thing through very much when designing them. Such breeding structures would result in limited genetic diversity among the species, not to mention the fact that it wouldn't make sense for unfertilized eggs to bear males, as the embryos would carry an exact match of the mother's DNA, rendering them as nothing more than clones. Even with the magical ability for them to be male, they would still have a stagnant gene pool, that would have prevented the species from surviving long enough to reach an intelligence capable of creating ways to deal with the thin gene pool. they're a great concept for a species, but would literally have died out due to genetic defects from the shallow gene pool(essentially inbreeding), and due to the fact that those defects would have made them easy pickings for the planet's predators.
@samiamrg74 жыл бұрын
Yeah, the concept of having extremely few females and large numbers of males just kinda doesn’t work from an evolutionary standpoint.
