this is true! been living here in Abu dhabi for 11yrs now and I can say that we are more islamic in my village in Philippines than the people who were born arabic and muslims. and it is very sad how they are silent about whats happening in Palestine, I know they’re helping in some ways but I dont think thats enough because they can do much more if they wanted. also the ramadhan here we can’t feel it anymore bcoz they removed some restrictions, the expats don’t respect the ramadan like they used to. the only good thing here now is safe. Abu Dhabi is more conservative than Dubai but it's becoming like Dubai😢

@@anakhamba You are using bits and pieces to generalise. Islam is never a pacifist religion. When people do bad things to you (eg sock issue), you get up and defend. Nobody is against that. But that doesn't warrant an unprovoked attack to other non-muslims who live peacefully with the rest of the Muslims. As for your examples, put the blame on Muslims parents who failed to educate their children. Is it the non-muslims' fault for the mat rempit, bohsia, enagih dadah, peminta sedekah? Some of them are "muslims" unfortunately. Is it the non-muslims fault for the greedy "islamic" or "malay" politicians, rasuah/bribery, laziness, curi tulang waktu bekerja? Tolerant doesn't mean you have to celebrate their religions or celebrations. Tolerance is letting them practice their own religion without hostility. Pointing fingers to others for your own failure is an act of hostility. That is just an example of laziness, bad heart, envy/hasad and greed. Islamic ke tu? * satu sebab mengapa orang bukan melayu tidak mahu masuk islam adalah kerana sikap orang melayu itu sendiri yang menjatuhkan nama baik ugama. Tak perlu salahkan mereka.

My concern is i have noticed recently a lot of expats doing hijra to malayasia and i hope that they dont try to change the culture and ideology of the malays but to adopt and embrace it and ultimately not take it for granted.

For me, for Malaysia to go forward as succesful Muslim country.. it has to be 'melting pots'.. with Malaysian values.. which in this case is actually Malay values - embrace our culture (I am Malay), food etc etc.. Malaysia is not perfect, but it is the most unique in the world because there are three ethnic Malays, Chinese, and Indians. If you go to Sabah, the majority are Kadazan and Dusun, and Sarawak is Iban and Melanau different from the Peninsular. Because of the need for modernization, many of the younger generation no longer know their culture.

Sister/brother, actually here in Msia we have a lot of insects/bugs as we are in the rainforest or tropical region. Maybe you haven't seen them yet 😅. Mosquitoes, cockroaches, lizards, kamitetep, agas, mite etc can be found everywhere actually.

Satu Malaysia. Alhumdulilah, I did my graduation in Malaysia ( in KL ) and spent 5 beautiful ( also bitter-sweet ) years of my life. Learnt a lot kiving here. Its pretty diverse. Being a Muslim, the most beautiful thing is to find a Surau ( praying room for Muslims), which is literally available everywhere. You also have to enrol your kids to International schools which are very expensive. Saleh family is generating money from KZbin. What are you going to do in Malaysia?

The arab عرب countries have this idea that if they copy europe and the US they will have a good country, but they are wrong. Living in Sudan is so nice (before the war), even though the country is underdeveloped, the people make it nice and everything there, there was freedom, we went there on holiday and our whole village is family. Everywhere you go you can have a good conversation with someone. But Allah الله was protecting us, as soon as they said no more islamic law, it became lawless. There is nothing better than Islam. And going against Allah الله is ending your existence.

klang valley (kuala lumpur and part of selangor) is the best region to live if you value facilities ( hospital, mall, public transport, int school etc). If you want to live in quiet nature environment east malaysia is the place. If you want to live in town near to the beach i would suggest kuantan, pahang. Arabs expat if im not mistaken usually stay at cyberjaya, serdang or nearby bukit bintang. if you want to buy a house it starts from rm1 million (gov policy) or around 220k usd. rental would be around 350usd (condos) - 1200 usd ( golf and country club). medical insurance is a bit tricky to explain. you can check youtubers like andrew taylor who have spoke about this.

Try look at eco majestic semenyih or ecohill located at selangor state ...and not too far from KL bustling city...im staying there eco majestic area, surrounded by palm trees, got bogra hills suitable for hiking and outdoors actvs, got international school as well and some more everything's cheap here in terms of food and other amenities...most importantly not too far from sepang Formula 1 spot and International Airport

With my husband we lived in Dubai, then in Kuala Lumpur and now we are back in Dubai because of his work. We were so happy in Malaysia. People are the nicest and life is so peaceful. The schools are the best for children too. I will miss KL and its rainy afternoons. There is good things about Dubai too. But between both cities I definitely prefer KL.

Alternative places that more conservative and Islamic in UAE are Sharjah or even Abu Dhabi and other emirates; Al Ain, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujeira, Ajman or neighbouring Oman. Dubai basically like a totally different country on its own to cater to westerners and riches only, less than 20% are Emiratis.

Riyadh is meh, Rents are on par with Dubai without Dubai infrastructure and facilities try visiting Jeddah. It’s more fun. More traditional, affordable and of course Al Balad historical district is a must visit especially during Ramadan. Makkah is only an hour away.

I am malaysian. For me i would like to hear the con for you guys about my country. I know you guys want to be polite but its ok sometimes to trow some critic so that we know. Maybe some of your cons are good for us to change our way or maybe dont. We will never know if we dont know your point of view. Dubai is TOOOOO citylike and jungle of concrete for me...not really a great place for families but great place for working if you like sitting in an office of your home all the time. In Malaysia you have everything...from sandy beaches, island, jungle, animal sanctuaries, and multiple cultures and of course religious sites and religious people. Im not saying that all Malaysian are religios but you can find them everywhere you go without hassled.

I agree Dubai has it’s negatives, however there are 7 emirates in the UAE. Many come with rich culture, history, local people etc. Dubai is painted as this glitzy superficial place but I think it depends on where you go. We stayed on the outskirts of Dubai and it was lovely and very family friendly

Malaysia is also our top choice and we will be moving there next year. Dubai has it's pros and cons, but the cons outweight the pros for us too. It's clean, super safe in Dubai, and is a breath of fresh air compared to Dubai, but the summer is deathly there, the sheer amount of inappropriate clothing and Ukrainian and Russian women doing 'work' there is also very unnerving. I also felt that it wasn't as 'Islamic' as Dubai has been in the past. It's changed a lot in the last 5 years.

The best thing about malaysia we have 9 malay muslim king and we proud of that.. All the king put islam high and them as guardian... For that other races religion live peacefully with royal malay muslim army as our defender.. Proud to say that malaysia the only country in the world who defeated again communis we win again them😊😊😊😊you choose the right country...

I lost my baby around the same time as Sana. I cannot bear to think of not seeing the grave every Friday. I know you guys also had plans to see your child's grave every Friday. There’s still plenty of things to do in Dubai. You can visit different parts in the UAE. Like Sharjah. I’d say it’s still worth going there once in your lifetime!!

I think you should have tried Abu Dhabi, it has more Emiratis (Locals) it’s more Arabic, more cultural and definitely you’ll be seeing more people wearing hijab and abaya (Abu Dhabi central, not Yas Island)

This was just like me when I was thinking of moving to live with my husband in Qatar because he works there and I was told because I have a US Passport plus and American college degree that I would be granted free housing and a job. Went there for 5 months and it was a huge no for me: 1. I hated my in laws and their family oriented culture, they have to know my business if I step away it’s considered 3ayb 2. Society is so stuck up 3. Beautiful city of Doha and thats it, rest is desert 4. I didnt want to live in a country where its hot half of the the year 5. I wasnt fond of the health care. You can have access but will probably have doctors who have no idea what they’re doing 6. I didn’t make any friends and my in laws were “too busy” to even meet with me 7. If you want a decent life you have to stay in your job, if you leave your job you leave the country 8. No natural views, just man made parks. Which are impressive but I like sitting by the river, looking at deers, going hiking 9. I dont know what the sun looks like because its too hot out 10. I could possibly make more money here in USA
