Hey Rabbit, on our end it seems like you're always winning with the car sales. I'm sure it's not always the case, can you make a video about some of your losses and what important lessons you've learn from them. Maybe include how you evaluate if a deal is with investigation your time and money.

I used to drive Limousines, I was a Chauffer. Black "Hart Schaffner and Marx suit, white shirt, and Grey tie. Calling me a "Limo driver" was an insult. Limo drivers were Khakis, blue sport coat etc. When asked if I was a Limo drive I said "No--i'm a Chauffer the difference is the level of service and the SIZE of my gratuity/TIP".

Im a salesperson and always dress like the sales manager One time I had a GSM (general manager) ask me why i dressed so professional "what do you think you are some kind of business man" "Well we do sell vehicles that cost 50k we should be professional" Let's say i didnt stay with that organization long And he sat there in his wrinkled out polo

Ha gotta love the style Rob, but last 3 car's I bought, 1st one I made sure the 2nd hand salesman got the commission for, because he came over to say hello, I knew what I was there for, to order a new car, nobody came near me for 15 mins, then he saw me & remembered me from my last job, 2nd & 3rd car's were a double deal, played with the online configuration tool for the one I wanted, printed it out, walked into the dealership again nobody came over, so I walk up to a top of the line car & open the door, stick my head inside, within a minute there's some guy telling me not to touch the cars, I ask is this for sale & what's it worth? He almost laughs & tells me the price, I say I'll have it, Oh I also want another in this spec & hand over my printout, made sure he didn't get the sale of ether, treat people with respect brother, you just never know what there worth, Rj in Oz

Huge fan rabbit! Been watching for years haha. From my experience, a lower end non Luxury brand (Like your Fords, Honda’s etc) I actually found it to be counter productive to have people wearing business attire on the floor. It comes off as very intimidating. You have to keep in mind, these are your normal working people, they just want to be treated kindly and fairly. Having a polo and normal pants on puts you on their level. With business attire it comes off as intimidating, and it gives people the impression that the sales person and the dealership looks down upon them. It makes the customers feel uneasy. So I’m actually disagreeing with you on this one, Polos all the way lol. That being said, for your higher end store like Lexus, Mercedes, Audi etc, absolutely some dress pants and a button up. That makes sense, you’re selling the idea of an upscale experience with those models

Knowing your audience is a big factor. I work at a bhph lot, small place. I am the mechanic also. I wear jeans and a t shirt everyday. Most of my customers are working class people. I, and most of my customers fall under the "overalls and a handshake" category, and I rarely see the "suit and a signature" type. And my personal record was selling 8 cars in 5days. Not too bad in my opinion, considering we usually have 10-12 on the lot.

I literally learned how to drive a 4 speed manual at age 18 chasing parts for a heavy equipment mechanic shop driving a red 1st gen Chevy Luv, I loved winding that thing out and banging gears!!! I then bought my first car, a 1976 Triumph TR6 and it was red!!! Nice shout out to the Kia Soul, I work paint prep for Kia in West Point, Georgia where we build the Telluride, K5, and Sorrento!!! Good advice about dressing correctly to look professional. I lived in Panama City, Florida many years ago and had a job at one time selling Dr. Seuss and Disney books over the phone, yeah, I'm the one who bothered people at dinnertime!!! Even though the customer couldn't see the telemarketers, we had to dress nicely, casual, no jeans or shorts, we had to look professional because, if you dress nicely, a person will have more of a professional attitude and it would be conveyed through our voices over the phone. It makes sense.

I bought a PT cruiser a 2001 model. I liked the retro look. Unfortunately it went from 0 - 60 in about 2 weeks. I ended up trading it in on a 2004 Jeep Liberty. The jeep had mechanical issues from time to time. After I got ripped off replacing a $400 tailgate latch twice in 2 years. Turned out they didn't replace it the first time, they just got the part working again and charged me for new parts. I was done with Chrysler / Mopar after that. Only had one dealer locally. I traded it in on a 2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser that was modded with steel bumpers, winch and mud tires. I love my FJ mainly because there's not a lot of them.

My dad served in the military for 32 years. Graduated HS at 16 and enlisted as fast as possible to go to Europe (he is a huge history buff) and get out of Oklahoma. Became a field medic & was stationed in France with the Army. While at OU on GI Bill, he joined the USAF. He went on to become a pilot, joined the Mach 2 club, served in Vietnam out of Korat- which was the impedus for him transitioning into security & intelligence work. All those years, dad always looked "High & tight" and conducted himself that way. Earned two Masters, highly decorated and was a twice over vet. His only funny thing was he always drove the crappiest cars. He was the commander with the biggest absolute POS in the parking lot, proudly sitting in the reserved spot. Nowadays? He is close to 80. Shuffles around, looks homeless, is very ill and maybe weighs 94 pounds. People pay him no mind- but I know what a bad ass he is and was. Helluva life. That "Bum" is also pretty wealthy-

Which I think is funny btw that they look more like the scout than the old bronco. But it gets right back to your "look the part". The challenger, the mustangs look the part. So few have their own identifiable personality, they're all to busy trying to look like each other they start looking the same. Interstates full of bubble cars.
