Listening; as a consultant; let the customer fully express their problems. It pays off later as there are bumps in the process. Customer will always feel you fully listened and understood, and will shoulder blame for anything needing fixing. If you interrupt quickly and tell them you understand, later when there are bumps they will reason it is because you didn't listen or understand.

I'm a business owner and I have to disagree with the first point. I have a high end service and I charge $200 for a consultation when my competitors offer free ones. When I had my calendar wide open I hardly got any appointments. When I limited my slots to make it seem like I was busy my appointments became full.
@AfffS-oz5sd3 ай бұрын
Ok so why does your $200 consultation provide more value than your competitors free ones? Do you effectively communicate that in a concise manner? How did you advertise the service?

@screamneagle84206 ай бұрын
If you have a super high close rate you might not be charging enough for your product. Conversely, if you have a super low close rate part of the problem may be that you’re charging way too much. Ideally your close rate should be approximately 50%. Depends on what you’re selling and who your ideal customers are.
