I’m from Barbados, and I also hate the sun. Whenever I say I want to move to Ireland, people say I’d hate it because it’s dark and grey. And I say, that’s exactly why I’d love it. And they’d think I’m weird. Good to know I’m not alone. Loved this interview! Marian has such a kind, beautiful spirit. P.S. I share her sugar addiction in stressful times.

What a lovely thing to say about Marian having a twinkly face. I totally relate to lots of what she as saying about loving make up and her face but struggling to look at herself in the mirror. It actually made me cry. Thanks for such a great video xx

This is so lovely; Marian and I have similar coloring, and I agree, cool-tones are the way to go. Also, does anyone else notice when Sali brings up something Marian would love but hasn't heard of, she says "Oh, Marian!" It's adorable.

Sali, I think this is your best In The Bathroom yet! And not that the previous ones are not fabulous. Marian is so lovely and honest. I can identify with many of the things she said, I could write an A4 long commet, actually... God, I even have that pale Clarins shadow, and I'm def checking out those LRP pens! Sali, could you please write a column and explain a few phenomenons mentioned in the interview - the joy of looking at pretty eyeshadows even if you'll never use them, the desire to camp in beauty halls (I've suffered from this for over twenty years) and the need to gravitate towards those green crosses (tugging huffing husband and boys along). AMAZING!!! Thank you both!!!

Sali, I love Marian! She is so funny and uplifting.. I am just back from holiday where I bought two Dolce & Gabanna lipsticks. My friend was behind me when I bought them and she had to pick herself off the floor when she heard the price in total! Of course, I deserve both and one would not have been enough!
