A Day in the Life living in Remote Alaska

Trying to do something new here, a little vlog!
This weeks day off was a bit abnormal...since Jared was still working and I still had to work the next day...so I took a partial day off. Besides the point, come with me as I spend the literal 3rd day of summer in the Village.

Don't give up on your gardening. Stay positive! Some straw will help the strawberries(just in-between and around the plants). Love the Jobes plant food spikes for my indoor plants. Think they have plant food you can add to the watering water, check it out. Try some foil pouches on the grill with your bratwurst next time(I put potato wedges, onions, peppers, and carrots(if I have them), little salt and pepper, any italian dressing, homemade or bottled, toss with a little dressing, not to overpower). Wrap in foil pouches, put holes in foil 15 min before done. I think these take 15-30 minutes depending on how full you make them. That last grilling with a few holes on bottom and too help caramelize the veggies. Enjoy the summer days!

That’s amazing your grandfather still flies and still very much apart of the business. Do you ever run into bears just being outside your home or walking to get mail? How do you store everyday trash so as not to attract bears? Those eggs looked good. Did you guys make or buy your home or was it gifted? Blanket is beautiful. So talented.

They have a clinic on site with 2 nurse aides. When having a baby the mum flies to anchorage 1 month before due date and stays there until baby is born
