Dr Ruff, I have a quick question. I had my under the muscle saline implants deflated 4 years ago and the Plastic Surgeon went through my Areola. It was extremely painful and very uncomfortable. Is your technique new?

You can’t deflate the silicone implants. This is saline.

Good luck! Had my consult yesterday to have my saline implants removed. Unsure if I want just explanation or explanation & lift my Dr. punctured mine so I have a better idea what I’d like to choose. Not painful at all. I didn’t even want the local & I felt nothing. This morning woke to smaller & he says will deflate in the next few weeks. Surgery is 9/8.

She wanted to remove her implants and is getting a Mastopexy soon, so Dr. Ruff is pre-deflating the implants. Over the next couple of weeks, the deflation allows the breast to naturally retract to their underlying baseline. This helps prepare for surgery.
