Great friends an great weather fish are just the bonus. Hard to tell are ourselves that but limits never should judge our good time meters. But it sure as hell helps. Lol

We fished out of holland 7/25 our hot rig was 105 down with a meatrig on a 8'' spindoctor we our best water was 135 to 155. We went 4 for 5 and had one that was 20#.

What is the reel you used for the 500 copper and was it 45# copper?

That was an old school penn reel and yes 45lb. However Ross just spooled up a cold water 55 with 500ft of copper , I’ll have to ask him which brand and what he used for backing.

It’s an inboard jet motor. No trim adjustments on it.

So I know of some people that run 600s but the 500 is the longest we have. It is an absolute pain to reel in lol but it always catches us fish later on in the summer!
