Great video and some nice fish. Surprised that you would consider tightening the drag on a fish while it was still green. As the spool empties the drag actually gets tighter.

Talk about a great day on the water. Good friends laughing an catching fish. Fish gods gave ya a bonus for dipping that king out of the water an not letting it go to waste. That's why the spin doctor an the fly was hanging on the line. Great video man. Time to fire up the grill an the smoker now.

Hey Guys, my folks live in Manitowoc; I will be coming to USA next summer with my family for a few weeks in July, I'm looking for a charter to do some fishing on the lake, yours was the first video on my YT search and already I like what I see. Would be cool to have a chat with you guys to get something booked in closer to the dates that we will be in country. All the best David

I enjoyed watching your salmon fishing video on Lake Michigan. You sure had great action and caught a bunch of nice fish. How far back off the riggers were you running your flashers / flies?
@themichiganangler47462 жыл бұрын
Normally around 35-40ft back depending on how deep we’re setting them !

It’s an absolutely incredible boat. Fishes Lake Michigan fantastic with the smooth moves seats and we run it in the river all winter long. Great all around fishing machine

The struggle with them drags are reel...Why back drag off that much?To hear the drag scream?
@themichiganangler47463 жыл бұрын
If you leave it tight they pull the hook a lot. When you set the drag while trolling it is super tight to keep them from slipping especially on the big coppers and wire divers. Once a fish hits you back them off slightly.
