First great flick. Family fun an making memories. The look on your wife's face when the king was doing his thing. Drag screaming action is where it's at. Congrats to your wife for hanging tough an finishing the fight.

I wanted to do this so bad all summer! I've been binge watch your videos. I moved to Hartford this summer and still haven't gotten a chance to fish lake Michigan. Just a lot of blue gill, and crappy. Next summer. Definitely next summer. I'm making it my new years resolution to finally get out on the big lake next year. 😂🤣

@@themichiganangler4746 when in MI, up near BC or Kalamazoo, I'm on my Mother in Laws 50hp pontoon boat. Hahaha. My buddy has a Grady White we take out of Holland. With covid stuff, hes been out a lot, but I've been stuck in ATL. I was lucky to make it up to BC once this Summer. Just large mouth bass and blue gills the last trip. Had one strong hit on pike rapalla, lure came back scratched up. How the two sets of treble hooks didn't hook him up gets me. I usually try and go weedless as possible in these smaller lakes. Losing nice lures is getting $$$ . Honestly, most of my biggest inland pike catches were caught on my Southern style big flashy bass rigs.

I’ve heard that a lot from guys that bass fish, throwing jerk baits and stuff like that catching giant pike!

we need to trade trips. I need salmon. But I have all the walleye down here on the east side you can imagine. LMk if you ever wanna go walleye fishing troll/jig. hammering them right now out of lsc. anyways quick tip. take a drill with a 10mm socket and change those okuma handle nuts to 10mm heads. then you can drill those coppers in in seconds
@themichiganangler47463 жыл бұрын
I definitely would take you up on that, and really good idea using a drill!

Nice work! We fished out of sh last night as well. Went 4-9 with 3 kings, and had a tank break off a wire diver from a kink. Went 180-600 in about 3 mins. Went this morning again and whole different story.. cold water is gone down at 90-100 like it was.

How come nobody slows way down when you have salmon on so you can enjoy the fight
@themichiganangler47463 жыл бұрын
Because you can snag your other gear on the bottom if you slow down to much and cause tangles. I will slow down to 1.7-1.8 if we catch a big fish 25lbs or so.
@davidlapointjr.91943 жыл бұрын
So you can increase your odds of a double. If we hit fish over 25+lbs well slow down.
