That ol' Hardy sound brings back memories... and I still use it occasionally after 35 years.

Ha! About time you did a bit of fluff chucking, instead of this mindless spinning!!!! And you did it very well, my friend! Nice to use your dad's old stuff, I'm just oiling up an old fixed spool reel circa 1965 that my old boy used to use. Cracking grayling, it's hilarious how they shrink in size as they near the net 🤣 very honest of you to admit the adrenalin bonus weight at 10 yards! 😂. Is that the netherby beat? Must be well down the river for the tide to sweep in like that.

Pahahaha the timing on that aye!! Question is what flavour!?😂 Some lovely comments there pal and have to say it means a hell of a lot hearing that type of stuff! We put the work in but want to have fun at the same time and it’s good to see it’s not going unnoticed! Fishing is about having fun and getting away from the serious grim world around us! Tight lines John my man 😆

If you had gone to the Longtown chippie you would have seen the largest salmon caught at Longtown in 50 years. It weighed 37lbs and was caught on 7lbs line by the chippie owner.

I last went there during the covid lockdown. He had placed a face mask on the fish. The fish and chips are good.
