Salomon 4D 4 & Forces 2 Comparison

A quick look at the new Salomon 4D 4's and the Forces 2. In prior vidoes I discussed the short falls of the new 4D boot, and my options to replace it. Enter the Forces 2. Here is a short comparison on the two, and reasons I now prefer one to the other. Thanks for watching dudes.

The difference in the sole tread pattern is to improve the Forces traction on wet/slippery surfaces.

The back of the 4d’s has a soft cushioned stretch fabric that is insignificant for comfort but will easily melt and tear when pulling on the boots, the forces are all leather

thanks! after many Salomon boots 4D is poorest I have owned..mine too popped an eyelet and toe cap lifted + boot is a pain in the butt to fasten up...so easy to miss eyelet

My Salomon 4D GTX were absolute crap. filled with water as soon as it rained.

Probably don’t have the GTX version

That sounds like some terrible luck. I hope you were able to warranty it, and they sent you a fresh pair. I have not had a problem with weatherproofing on GTX models.

@@irnbdg Oh yes they were the GTX version, I checked all the paperwork and the boots. They were in a nutshell crap. But replaced for a different make via warranty at GO Outdoors.

@@adrenalineactual4261 Wonderful staff at Go Outdoors Ipswich after I finished the C2C were 1st class. No issue with warranty and took away Meindel leather boots instead.
