Awesome footage of you guys! Do you ever get held up behind people who are just regular hiking? I never see anyone else out in the woods, but cool you ran into some peeps! Definitely just snorted at “found the g spot” 😆

When on this Barkley Challenge Loop, the trails are remote and generally the only people we see are other runners. On the more used trails we see hikers a fair amount. Generally they step off the side when they see me barreling down the mountain haha. haha the G spot can be elusive for some. Many have gotten lost up there and ended up on the other side and missed it entirely.... HAHAHAHA

This shoe is so comfortable to walk in. I traded my New Balance shoes for this and it feels great.

Just ran 12 in the Pulsar Trail Pro Ciele edition today. I thought they were great too. Much more stable than I expected. In the Pro edition though the heel lock was not great.
@UltraTrailSteven2 жыл бұрын
Interesting about the heel lock. It was fine for me.
@jeffloflin63162 жыл бұрын
Same with the Pulsar Trail..no support in the heel and lock down is sketchy at best
@UltraTrailSteven2 жыл бұрын
@@jeffloflin6316 interesting. I was able to get a really good lockdown. Guess it probably depends a lot on foot shape.

Ran in the Trail/Pro's today. I understand the comment about the heel lock, although I think it's more to do with the inherent instability in that sock-like construction. It didn't bother me at all for a 12 mile run.

Man, I wish I lived near such runnable trails! I love my White Mountains an hour away, but they're extremely technical in many areas. Fun, but not fast.
@UltraTrailSteven2 жыл бұрын
Well these are certainly not fast trails, but there are a couple of good runnable sections. Definitely a great place to train!

Kudos to you and Lee on an awesome run!!! I don't think I've ever seen you run a bladder before....nice! I'm still deciding between Salomon and UD because my current Nathan vest can't hold a bladder.
@UltraTrailSteven2 жыл бұрын
I’ve run with a bladder lots! This pack weighed 10lbs at the start, so it made for some good training on the hills.

if you run with shorts through the woods aren't you afraid of fleas and tick bites? especially when so close to the leafs.
@UltraTrailSteven2 жыл бұрын
Nope. I get poison ivy a couple of times a year, and a few tick bites. Just part of it.

How do they compare to the Speedgoat? Evo's are dead and the 5's are giving me a pinky blister and don't provide quite the same koosh as the EVO's did.
@UltraTrailSteven2 жыл бұрын
Hm that’s a good question. I’ll have to think about that on my long run Saturday. I think the fit/lockdown is better in the Pulsar Trail. Cushion might even be better. Hmm

I’ve had the same experience with the sg5, ran in speedgoats for years and never had a problem but in the 5’s I’ve had an horrendous blister on my little toe and I seem to get numb toes after 20miles and my feet aren’t wide.

What kind of shirt is it that you're wearing? Looks great for the trail.

That is the XOSKIN 3/4 Sleeve Form Fit. I absolutely love it! I wear it on all long runs and races. If you want to try it, I have a coupon code in the description of the video.

@@UltraTrailSteven thanks. I've found a lot salomon's models have lately felt a tad long and therefore make climbing more difficult. I've read reports that these fit a bit more like a traditional salomon shoe. Just placed an order.
