@@rein7447 Exclusivity is one of many steps that seek to strip options from the consumer such that they are bound to doing deals with only your company. In short, it counters competition while offering few benefits to the consumer and can be further leveraged against consumers as it becomes the norm to see exclusivity. It artificially installs yet another middle man in the logistics between the consumer and the product, benefitting only the company behind the installation. Stop normalizing the shit, before you have to pay a subscription fee just to look.

He wasn't healing. His health bar was just "loading". If you look carefully, you will see there's a dark red health bar "behind" the bright red one. And splat was indeed taking some of his health away after each hit.

The art style for the game is the one of the studios things they use it for all of their games. For this game they have refined it quite well since their last game Salt and Sanctuary.

Oh yeah, sequel of my beloved Salt&Sanctuary is here (I just have to wait to get it on Steam). I'm really glad "heresy" is amongst the available crimes, I'm not too fond of playing inquisitors (RP and philosophical reasons), but here, it can be "very reluctant inquisitor" xD I loved the original Salt&Sanctuary (I'd be brazen/foolish enough to say in my mind it even overshadows From Software's games), and I really can't wait to play this one. Btw, endurance does not increase your stamina in Salt&..., but your carry weight (so you can load heavier equipment and still roll and move quite smoothly). Also, you played the entire game with that bag on your head, you have a fighther's helmet in your inventory xD

Anything that goes Epic exlusive I don't buy until it's 5-10$. So far it hasn't been hard because most of the games going there lose all their hype for me by the time they try to release on Steam for full price.

Epic Games gives them money (which is good) but they can't publish their game on Steam (which is objectively bad - less choice for buyers). P. S. I'm not a Steam fanboy - if Valve would do the same - I would still call that wrong. And predictable enough - I also don't like console (or PC) exclusives. "We have a game that you can't play! Buy our console first!". But I want to play on PC! I like mods, graphical injectors (ReShade) and tweaking ;-) Maybe my point is wrong - who knows :-)

Yeah I thought so too, and there will probably be a good reward for it. iirc you got a Drowned Tome for beating the prologue boss in Sanctuary, which was a top tier upgrade material that you could otherwise only get 1 of per playthrough.

It's funny. Just a few hours ago I started playing *Smoke* and Sacrifice. This seems pretty cool. I love the atmosphere, and how the lighting changes in certain areas. It's spooky. The combat looks pretty solid, the movement, too. However, I'm not a fan of the grapple movement... it looks like it would have an odd feel to it. The bosses seem a bit epic... I'm not sure I'd last long. All in all, though, I don't like platformers, or anything that brings back Ghosts and Goblins memories... but I think I might give this one a go if it ever comes to Steam. It absolutely looks fun.

Starts the video happy and energized from the weekend, ends the video "officially stressed" and in need of a lie-down. Poor Splatty. Maybe its KZbin doing things to the video, but the fog and haziness of the game's world has been giving me a creeping headache this entire video and that's enough to keep me from trying this game out. I'm not a huge fan of super-hard souls-likes anyways, but it does look like a fun game otherwise.

You should try out the First game called Salt and Sanctuary on Steam for $18 first as it's in the same style (though less refined). Time yourself for less then two hours and if it doesn't work for you, you can refund it. Headaches suck.

Its not that I have anything against epic games store, its just that its not really trying to create competition in the space. If epic really wanted to compete they would sell all their games for 5-10% less than valve. Then I would be on board, drive those prices down... thats competition I can get behind. However the same games at the same prices with a bargain basement version of the steam featureset isn't enough for me to consider adding a second games library. They threw tens of millions into exclusives and free games but I wish they threw tens of millions at allowing developers to sell games cheaper. It doesn't really make a huge difference but lower prices are lower prices.
