Just subbed. Feel bad now that I subscribed right after watching this video, it was genuinely hard to watch your discomfort on this one and I'm glad to see you've apparently recovered. The reason I subbed is because I just realized I've watched so many of your (all TOP notch) videos yet I've rarely provided my "like" to support you. And that you've never asked us to "like and subscribe" and your content is 100% something I would "like and subscribe" to. Keep it up, continue to be safe having that kind of "fun" you can look back on, and I will happily watch all of your compositions. It really inspires me to get out and do more. Also, thank you for taking the time to document your adventures. Your edits may well stand as some of the best efforts to document exploring our natural world for generations to come.

Holy 💩 at 11:23 looks like you were entering the spirit realm 🤣.... I used to surf 3x a day every day, at my peak of high performance surfing, and I could get away with and loved eating the same as you lol, but I'll never forget the time I was in Bali and we pulled up to this secret spot that had some of the best waves I've ever seen. I completely forgot all about hydration, sunscreen, etc... and paid for it the same way you did, the next day or so. I totally used to have a "I don't have time for anything now that I'm looking at the thing I'm about to do" A.D.D. mindset, and still can have it, at times, but I'll never forget that Bali trip, and I try alot harder now to at the very least drink a ton of water / Gatorade...

I wish you could communicate how you recovered and what caused so much sudden demise. The fact you're a stud muffin speaks to the fact you were able to extricate yourself without getting the medics involved. Epic on a whole new level. Glad you made it home.

I do aerial photography and fly with many different helicopter companies. One company is as low as $350 / hr for the piston version of Matt's Heli...so if the costs are spread across 3 or 4 MA'ers, it's not so bad.

Blood? Happen to know anyone in the medical profession that could help you? Hmmmm? I mean to say...anyone any good? You are NOT allowed to get hurt. At least wait until Dr. C is back from Wind Rivers. If HE survives without getting attacked by poisonous spiders again on this year's trip. We all think of you as the blonde Superman who is leaping tall mountains instead of leaping tall buildings. And doing so with a brilliant sense of humor, grace and extreme good looks as usual.

Ah yes heat stroke, gotta take more water and salt. Been there 4 or 5 times myself. First time I was just a kid playing on a rope swing at my friends house all day. Got sick twice going home, all of about 100 yds. distance. Couldn't even lift a fork full of food to my mouth. My Dad sat me down on the couch and gave me a cup of salt water, then told me to rest. 45 minutes later I was feeling better, but rested and slept til the next day. Not a good feeling, but at least recovery is simple and quick. ATB Danny, keep doing what your doing friend

I've noticed from watching your videos that you eat and drink a lot of junk. Try giving up the Coke, Mountain Dew, Little Debbie Pastries etc. and try eating and drinking food.
@MediocreAmateur5 жыл бұрын
Ha! My eating is atrocious but it's not my biggest problem. Usually the culprit is poor hydration and electrolyte management. On this trip I forgot to bring my drink mix and fell behind on my drinking early on. Ridge traverses are especially difficult when it comes to staying hydrated (watch the WURL video) There's no water up high and I often sacrifice my water for less weight on my back, which is incredibly stupid. I noticed you watched the rim to rim to rim video as well. It's the same mistake. I drank almost nothing heading up bright angle. As a result I started feeling sick, because I feel sick i drink and eat less and become more ill. It's a vicious cycle I'm too lazy to stop from happening every now and then.
@johnlisonbee5 жыл бұрын
@@MediocreAmateur Lessons learned. When you work that hard though, junk food is your best friend. You are right about the hydration though. I've done R3 twice now and drinking and eating early and often (Especially drinking and drinking electrolytes) is key. Keep the movies coming! If you are ever up for an adventure in or around Cedar City feel free to reach out!
