@thriddocter i never thought for years a saltwater croc could kill a great white shark. And still dont. And i dont believe crocs are kings of the oceans and seas and never have. Theres so many sea creatures living in the seas and oceans we havent even seen half of them yet. And never will its another world but for a start i saw a rino throw a 12 foot long croc all about the place for at least 5 minutes, i dont know what the croc did for the rino to do that. But it gave it some pounding, it just kept going under it with those big teeth and mouth and threw it at least 8 feet into the air, the croc had never been batterd like that before. The rino could have killed it if it bit it in half with those huge teeth, but i had never saw a rino throw a croc about like that before never! I thought rinos would tend to avoid crocs and visa versa. But they lie in the same waters and mud baths when theres a dry up for water and dont bother each other. I know crocs arent scared from them. I laugh at the way a lion goes right up to the water edge and quickley dips its paw in and out the water to see if theres crocs just 3 or 4 feet under the water. Its amazing when another big looking raindeer goes up to the water for one drink then a croc just jumps out the water and pulls it in with no chance of escape. Its just that speed and strength and timing in how it does it. Some get away and i think how did that manage that, that was well cought and going under then 5 seconds later the croc loses its grip and its lost it, scampering up the hill or rocks to safety. They must have that extra bit of strength to find when they know there about to die. As crocs cant go up steep rocks the way they can i have even seen a croc get about 8ft high up on a steep rock but then just falling into the water as there to heavy and big to go up those rocks and the raindeer just ran up it no bother but with a cut leg.

Actually, the Nile crocodile and the Saltwater crocodile have the same estimated biteforce. The only reason some may believe that Nile crocodiles have a bigger bite is due to a study that used the maximum size for a Nile crocodile but not the maximum size of a Saltie. If anything, the Saltie has a higher biteforce due to being far larger than the Nile Crocodile.
@sach339 ай бұрын
The bite force of the Nile crocodile was measured at 5000 psi on a specimen approximately 5.5 m long. That of the saltwater crocodile was measured at 3700 psi on a 4.6 m specimen (not the largest of the saltwater crocs) and the bite force of a maximum size saltwater crocodile (7 m and 1-1.5 tonnes ) is calculated from 6200 to 7700 psi.

I have a few questions for the maker of this video. Here goes if some African hippopotamus were introduced onto Ramree island back then, do you think that the Saltwater crocodiles on the his island would immediately attack the hippos or would they be hesitant to attack? Nile crocodiles are afraid of Hippos, therefore do you think that the Saltwater crocodiles on Ramree island would also be afraid to attack and eat a fully grown African hippopotamus?I await your reply.

Hippo wouldn't survive. If many Saltwater water crocodile in one area. Were hippo you want put on. They instantly attack. 2 or 3 salty. Will kill an hippo easily.
@franziskani Жыл бұрын
Hippos cannot live in saltwater, so they would seize the fresh water. And no doubt go after young salties it they dare swim near them. Hippos are ALSO very dangerous for humans (in Africa more people are killed by them than by lions), but maybe not as easy to catch and they cannot retreat to marshes and bracky water, that is of less value to humans (and farming). They are crazy territorial and occupy the streams (or lakes) in Africa. Now, grown lions or grown elephants (who protect their young) normally have nothing to fear from hippos, but else all bets are off. And then there are unintended consequences from introducing a foreign species. How are the cane toads doing ? The rabbits ? I think the camels are not such a problem (they are in the dry inner part of Australia, and do not procreate like crazy. Not sure how it is going with (water) buffalos. Which were also introduced by the settlers. Are they damaging the eco systems of Australia ?

It will be not easy to grab the shark . On the other hand the shark is more agile in the open sea and most likely flee away easily . I believe that mature male salty can overcome a mature tiger shark on head to head fight . The croc can cause the shark severe damage that it won't survive afterwards .
