My go-to lure rod is always a medium fast-action 8 foot and 10 - 35 grammes. They really are great for putting movement into soft plastics and punch out a metal lure when needed, with good accuracy. I'm really itching for some bass fishing.
@SaltwaterAngler6 ай бұрын
Good stuff - I think some Manufacturers call a rod super-,fast ultra-fast etc when it’s the same as a rod branded just “fast” these rods are not particularly fast especially when compared to the dialuna which I’d call ridiculously fast !
@skateboardingjesus40066 ай бұрын
@@SaltwaterAngler Yeah, I've noticed that with some rods. It's like some ambiguous label they give to number of different rods with different flexing characteristics. That's why I'll always test a rod first, despite the label.

@@SaltwaterAngler thanks :) Tpe prawns seems to have better tail action like sg 3d manic shrimp and even the chinese ones. @Niall-ie3iy5 ай бұрын
@@SaltwaterAngler Hi Matt sorry for the late reply I do have a travel lure rod it is a sakura bidaia it is a 14g to 60g lure weight and 10 to 20lb line weight. It's not sakuras top model but I really like it. I have had it for 5 years now and it does need a little tlc. In Ireland it did great on mackerel and on the boat could handle large fish my favourite was a 5lb cod. Dogfish no problem. It's a 9 foot rod and breaks down to four pieces and easy to carry on airplanes. One of my favourite trips was in yakutia which involved a two day journey it survived very well and fished well with pike. But on other trips it handled well catching Lennox and small taimen. I would buy it again no problem I am looking for ideas regarding surf rods and ultra light travel rods as where I am involves also of travel in not such great conditions Niall
