Not sure why, but I dislike you moving rocks and pushing one out of hiding, forcing him/her to engage the other. What if, in the case of the Smithi (forgot SP) the small one was using cover as an offensive tool? Attacking from cover then making it's egress back within the defensive confines of its hole, rock, gap, perforation, or whatever. You have intervened and removed any genuine feel the interaction had and we miss out on great natural moments like Samshrimp flipping his lovely locks back and pressing that rock 😃

I agree and feel the same way. I'm not mad that the kid is interested to see what would happen, it happens in nature and it's cool to witness, but my unsolicited opinion/advice would be that the kid is a bit impatient, and he should slow down and allow for everything to take its course naturally,-- no interference. I would like to see what these smaller shrimp do to defend themselves without human hand tossing it out into the open and ensuring certain defeat, and also lowering the smaller guy's confidence and ability to plan and defend/offend when ready. Sometimes in nature, even relatively often, the underdog wins. But not if he's assumed to lose and keeps being thrown literally into the claws of his larger opponent. Just my opinion on this, but I still enjoy the videos and find them fascinating and informative

I actually went to school (elementary-9th grade) with Jon "Bones" Jones and his 2 brothers, who are now both in the NFL with the Colts and Patriots...Arthur and Chandler Jones!!! We all used to play neighborhood ball back in the day!😃

Nah man, mantis shrimp hate each other and fight for territory and end up killing each other

@@reptileking3010 why? Prolonging the inevitable doesn't do anything except make death come barely any later considering mantis shrimp have amazing vision and are incredibly tenacious, it would've gone for it the second it came out again

Bros talking about how that happens in the wild and I agree. He also said that he wants them to coexist wich is absolute bs. He makes the big one angry with the stick and constantly destroys the smaller ones attempts of building a burrow.

Yes and no. It does happen in the wild, but if they were actually in the wild the little one would have lived to see another day. Its reaction is to flee then hide in small crevices. In nature, most hunts fail, and those quick and clever enough survive to maturity to pass on their genes. If these two were actually in the wild, the mantis might have gone for the little one, then when it fled and hid, the mantis would have hunted something else for dinner.
