Your empanadas remind me of these ones that are made in a bakery by the name of Canela’s in Crystal City, Texas,. If I’m not mistaken they’ve been around for over 50 years, I come from there but married and moved to Denver, CO. I MISS THEIR PAN DULCE, THE BEST EVER!!

I made these and they were delicious. I tweaked your recipe to be dairy free and did half sweet potatoes and half pumpkin then I used the piloncillo syrup for the glaze and they were delicious 😋 thank you for this great recipe!

If you want more pumpkin flavor in the bread, mix along pumpkin in the dough, that’ll bring it up to a new level.❤❤❤I always add pumpkin in my dough mixture it tastes delicious.

Thank you for sharing this authentic recipe. I haven’t made it yet but I can tell it will be delicious. I’ve made warm cereal with summer squash using the same method to make your pumpkin. I would add cold milk and have it in the morning for a comfort meal on cold winter days. Your bread recipe is great. I look forward to enjoying my empanadas. God bless!

This recipe is exactly what I was looking for, however, your ingredients list calls for 1 cup of milk, you say in the video one and a quarter cup of milk and the measuring cup in the video looks closer to two cups of milk. Can you please let me know which measurement to use? Thank you!!!
