Black drum is a good fish to eat around 20 to 24 in I had people tell me they get parasites in them when they get big😊😊

Black Drum over here in St Aug have 4 wide stripes similar to Sheepshead. Wonder if those are a different species of Drum?? Water is like a lake Thonny. Hot and Buggy with no wind. Great Trip!!!

Love the videos. Not Really Crystal River at that spot though. I know exactly where that is lol, I launch from that ramp every weekend. My wife says don’t give it away in the comments but I’ll say you are at the midpoint of the second island after you leave the ramp. You can catch those on a shrimp and a jig head there all day, no need for crabs. Also, if you have mud minnows or pinfish you can catch giant tarpon there too in the same spot. Looks like you came from the river and out past the public ramp. Love the content and great to see you up in my neck of the woods. There’s some pretty good fishing here if you can go in the skinny water.

Drum always prefer something more stinky. Sometimes leaving shrimp out for a day and using that will get more bites

🌴 Hey thon , ya found out my secret , but those crabs get hard to find sometimes, as they only order them every so often , hooked a monster at coffee pot last week lost him right before getting him close to shore ,I too had a lite rig 7’ Penn light wt medium fast rod with a Penn 2500 series , 10 braid with a 20# leader , ( he had more muscle than me 🤣. ) 💪🏼
