My brother has had one of those little MGs for about six years now. Never heard a single complaint out of him. Nice cheap runabout for someone. As for the brand, it was the fastest growing car brand in the UK in 2022 and the HS was the biggest selling car earlier this year. MG is definitely on the march and I suspect you'll be doing a lot more in the years to come.

Had one of these mg3s for about 10 months in that time was reliable little car mine was blue with a Union Jack on the roof .. that was a 2014 all I can say it needed a six speed gearbox was a bit loud on the motorway apart from that nice little runaround.

Old school joining the heater pipes , the difference is years ago that was the fix . Just do without the heater . From the dealers the price aint half bad, will make a decent motor with a buff.

Wouldn't it be nice if the heater matrix just slid in like on the old corsa b,kettle on pipes off pull old one out slide new one in,put teabag in cup and let it brew ,reconnect pipes drink tea top up radiator eat a biscuit and raise a receipt

I had a RWD Vauxhall Cavalier many years ago - my heater matrix went - guess what I did? Short length of hose and a couple of Jubilee clips, but at least I did it without having to remove the dash! Oil pump went shortly after, so scrapped it.

See if you can get a fix for the dash crowbar hole damage. .also look at the cowboy fix on the back bumper,I think it would make good content and be more of what us everyday motorists are faced with solving the gremlins of keeping a car on the road. 😎😎

I was following a UK website back in the 2000-teens when these China-MG's came out. They sold poorly, parts from the maker and dealers was very difficult to get, I think they evolved into more of an EV brand now. Still, at 500 Quid, plus may another 200 in parts, fluids, the car wash, you will get back your 'sweat equity' doing the replacement of the heater core and other work and still make a profit. I guess it will go for 1300-1500 ?

Yeah they are Chinese. Nanjing bought them and they merged with SAIC . I think they originally kept some Uk design teams, but I don’t know if that’s still the case. I noticed that they are becoming one of the go to brands for mobility cars. So they must be cheap!

Those MGs seem to be fairly well built for being Chinese owned nowadays. Cant believe someones done that to the bumper but I suppose it won't take much to sort out and those parts prices are cheap compared to more mainstream brands. Look forward to the next one 👍🏻
