Wow ! Just watched this an it’s certainly brought back some memories - As a lad I ran one of these from 88 to 92 - was 22 when I bought it…..which was quite a lot of car at the time….. an like you sold it as a 26 year old to get me into me last house……for 33 hundred quid……which at the time wasn’t too bad as they weren’t worth a rub due to the high insurance costs….. A quick way to immobilise those from the drivers seat was to flip up the rear seat squab an with your left hand reach over and pull the factory two pin connector to the fuel pump apart…….despite me expensive Gemini full closure alarm this quick little trick prevented mine from getting too far away once when attempted to steal….. Great Video 👍😃

I liked how Rob parked it at the side of what look like a Focus ST. The RS looked tiny compared to the ST. One bit of advise I will share with you Rob, Is to check out the oil pump pick up pipe, inside the sump. The gauze in the end of the pickup pipe, were notorious at getting clogged with carbon and thick dirty oil. It will starve the engine of oil and then cams start wearing and crank rattles. All of the them CVH engines were notorious for it. Something that I came across, quite a lot, back in mid 80's to mid 90's when I was in the motor trade.

I've seen a few disasters and fresh paint being ruined by wiper blades being incorrectly fitted . Although l guess they were tested for the MOT ?
