Black Country Communion - Collide (Official Music Video) is some of Joe's best blues rock work. This band is absolutely incredible. Sounds like a “Zeppelin-Purple.” Every musician in this band is incredible, and everyone puts his mastery on the record. The groovy rhythm section of Jason Bonham, along with Glenn Hughes’s brilliant bass playing, the mystical keyboards of Derek Sherinian's "Dream Theater", and Joe Bonamassa’s soulful guitar playing are bringing the old blues to rock into reality, and, course, The Voice of Rock Glenn Hughes who’s never getting old - this guy is getting better and better, he will never stop, he is fantastic!!! So, another excellent album for Rock ‘N’ Roll music history.

Just listened. Great! I wish they’d stayed together. Or at least I wish Joe snd Jason could get another band going. From the little I’ve read, Joe snd Glenn did NOT get along. Ego issues on Glenn’s part?
@meditationlifeskills
@meditationlifeskills Жыл бұрын
@@helenespaulding7562 Yes, it's a shame. However, they left us with 4 albums. The live cuts are just as good. I don't see them getting together in the future. The first album was in 2010, so it was long ago. I would be surprised if Glenn Hughes's voice could still hit the high notes. This is music for a long road trip, for sure.

Bonamassa by far and wide regarded one of the absolute best guitarist on the planet by other premier guitarist. I had the good fortune to see him several times starting out when he was starting out to places that held maybe 100 people. Now he’s rockin the Royal Albert Hall, red rocks, consistently selling out and always with top notch, as the one reviewer noted legends on the stage playing with him. Always a phenomenal show when he tours in your area and he tours every year you have got to go see him

Mr. Bonamassa is not only a great guitarist ( maybe the greatest ), HE CAN SING! So can that lady leading the back up singers, Mahalia Barnes. Great band! Reese Wynans on keys. Anton Fig on drums. Maurice Roades on bass. And great brass section. Hard to beat! Check out the double disc " Live at the Greek Theater ". Awesome show. "Angel of Mercy", "Cadillac Assembly Line", "Never Make Your Move Too Soon", "Let The Good Times Roll" (featuring Mahalia singing, AWESOME!) are some of my favorites.

Sal…if you get a chance to see him live GO! He is touring allot, so probably you’ll get a chance soon. Don’t miss it. One of the best concerts I’ve been to. He is a superlative player who has his own style, but also can also sound like Hendrix or Page or SRV. A master of his instrument. Thank you to your patron for this! More Bonamassa please!

Since you know little if anything about the Blues genre, welcome to the greatest form of music ever created. You are in for a lifelong series of musical treats that are ... indescribable. You just have to experience them! The blues is the basis of literally all modern music. That is why so many people gravitate toward it so strongly, especially as you grow older. You realize that all the genres you have listened to previously, with the exception of rap and hip hop, have their glorious roots in the blues. The other two may have a smattering of the blues but will not last long enough to matter when all is said and done. "Mountain Time" from Joe's 'Live at Albert Hall' in London 2009 is a must hear, if I can offer you a most choice selection from his repertoire! 🎸😎👌

Joe Bonamassa was a child prodigy, at age 9 he was already in a band with guys 20 years older than him, by age 12 he was touring with BB King. He is considered one of the top 10 blues guitarists in the World. Another song from this same concert you will enjoy is "Breaking Up Somebody's Home" live at the Greek Theatre. You should also check out Joe Bonamassa & Beth Hart "I'd Rather Go Blind" live in Amsterdam, "Close to My Fire" live in Amsterdam. There are so many more, he has an extensive catalog. Out of 15 albnums he produced himself, 13 went to #1. Please review more!

This was 2015. He just scored his 28th #1 blues album Live at the Hollywood Bowl. He's played in 3 piece, 9 piece and all between. The album just released he is backed by an orchestra!!!!! You should hear his voice now ❤️‍🔥! He is called the Titan of blues because he has stretched it in so many ways. The performance you just watched was a special tour the did called the 3 Kings Tour. BB King, Albert King and Freddie King.

JoeBo has had more number one blues albums than anyone in history, including his mentor, the late great BB King, 25 to date. He constantly reinvents his music but still remains loyal to his blues base. This keeps it fresh. Up there as one of the top guitarists on the planet. As a person he is a very humble guy, and runs a charity called keeping the blues alive, which has raised over $1million so far

SalvoG, this is actually pretty tame for Joe….You hadn’t seen Bonamassa before, but you have done two pervious reactions for BETH HART with whom Joe has collaborated with for 3 studio blues and soul cover albums in 2011, 2013, and 2018. There’s a phenomenal DVD of their concert in support of their 2013 Grammy-nominated ‘Seesaw’ album. Joe now has 25 #1 Blues albums on Billboard-every time he puts out an album, it debuts at #1. Right about the old guy, as others have mentioned, he is Reese Wynans who had joined Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble in 1985 (and Joe in 2015). Joe always plays with top players, often in a 9-piece band. Even the “background” singers are top shelf singers in their own right…. Here’s a list of 8 suggestions for JOE and 8 for BETH & JOE together: JOE BONAMASSA SUGGESTIONS: 1) “I’ll Play the Blues For You” (From 2015 ‘Live at the Greek Theatre’ concert in LA): kzbin.info/www/bejne/p6C7YYKim9atn9k 2) “Sloe Gin” (From 2014 Muddy Wolf at Red Rocks concert in Colorado): kzbin.info/www/bejne/pqfZmI2DfNVoi9E 3) “The Ballad of John Henry” (From 2018 Royal Albert Hall in London): kzbin.info/www/bejne/i2Oaf6uOfL-BkLM 4) “Woke Up Dreaming” (From 2009 Royal Albert Hall in London; acoustic solo): kzbin.info/www/bejne/fn3SgKF4l6mYm7M 5) “The Thrill is Gone” (From 2015 ‘Live at the Greek Theatre’ concert in LA): kzbin.info/www/bejne/eXWUdIyDhbOGn9U 6) Midnight Blues” (From Live at the Beacon Theatre in NYC, 2017): kzbin.info/www/bejne/bquaZZ-oaNmri80 7) ‘Woke Up Dreaming” (Acoustic version with Tina Guo; From Live at Carnegie Hall, 2017): kzbin.info/www/bejne/fn6UfmmmZsuci68 8) “Just Got Paid”…mixed with other stuff! (From Tour de Force at the Royal Albert Hall, 2013): kzbin.info/www/bejne/iH3PaWNmmt-MjLs JOE BONAMASSA & BETH HART (blues covers from the 2013 ‘Live in Amsterdam’ Concert) 1) “I’d Rather Go Blind”(Etta James cover): kzbin.info/www/bejne/i3arqIKViqqjbaM 2) “I Love You More Than You’ll Ever Know” (Al Kooper /Blood, Sweat, & Tears cover): kzbin.info/www/bejne/mIC0YWqci7t3gLM 3) “Baddest Blues” (only Beth HART original from concert) kzbin.info/www/bejne/qX-9qGpvbNV3o6s 4) “Close to My Fire”(Slackwax cover): kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y5zQnmiMjdl_n5I 5) “Something’s Got A Hold on Me” (Etta James cover): kzbin.info/www/bejne/mqq0dWiartSSbLc 6) “Your Heart is as Black as Night” (Melody Gardot song)- kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z36of2qZlreDqdk 7) “I’ll Take Care of you” (Live at the Beacon Theatre in NYC, 2011): kzbin.info/www/bejne/pIiWgKWCfc9jorM 8) “Sinner’s Prayer” (Live at the Beacon Theatre in NYC, 2011): kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y6api3egZseAY6c

Bonamassa is a fantastic artist. His singing was not a strong point early in his career, especially on his first couple of albums, which are more blues rock than his other albums. However, he has worked on that and is now a fantastic singer too. Look into Pain and Sorrow, Mountain Time (Live), A New Day Yesterday, his Dust Bowl & Redemption CDs, Ballad of John Henry, Sloe Gin, This Train, Mountain Climbing or his work with Beth Hart or Black Country Communion (Deep Purplish). He just has so many great songs, a lot of which he composed himself.

REESE WYNANS "Keyboards" Reese Wynans was a member of the Second Coming, which, from November 1968 to February 1969 also included two future and founding members of The Allman Brothers Band: guitarist Dickey Betts and bassist Berry Oakley. Wynans joined Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble in 1985, playing keyboards on Soul to Soul and In Step and played with the band until Stevie Ray Vaughn’s tragic death in 1990.

You are one of the very few people who don't stop the music every 15 seconds so they can run their mouths. I am going to keep your channel for future listening. As a side note, get his "Live from the Royal Albert Hall" album. Your mind will be blown.

That’s Reese Wynans on keyboards. He played for Stevie Ray Vaughan. Another Blues guitarist, the best in my estimation. Joe runs a close second.

If you really want to see Joe slay it, you should watch Blues Deluxe live at Rockpalast. He was just approaching the height of his powers and he basically pouted gasoline on the stage and set it on fire.

@@SalvoG if you can swing it, get a seat in the first few rows. I was fourth row, and it was unbelievable…saw him break a string and play straight through it. So cool.
