xPositivityx bless Start pointing fingers, and you’ve got four pointing back at you. What are you spreading today? Blame or love? Come on. If you love your country, you must love its people and stand up for those that are oppressed. Stop trying to place blame on the powerless. That’s not what America is supposed to be about. “A riot is the voice of the unheard.” When oppressed people don’t have a voice, what choice do they have? Stop saying “you people.” That’s disgusting. It’s ALL of us in this together. It’s no wonder we have 4% of the world’s population and 20% of the world’s Covid deaths when we are this divided. Leadership is the problem, and I’ll say this, it’s a problem on both sides. But there’s one side that speaks unity and one side who welcomes the votes of haters and racists and turns a blind eye to violence against others. We need to heal. Get on the train or get out of the way with your negativity.

Where you see "slipping in the last couple years" I see a false media campaign fear to keep people scared so they don't open themselves up to new opportunities. Politicians love to talk and keep issues alive instead of getting results. When I see black men and women being released from prison coming home to families they thought they'd never walk freely among, I cry tears of joy with them. That is change. We have a choice this election between the side that talks but put them in prison or a side ready to listen that welcoming them with an equal seat at the table. I'm done with these fear campaigns trying to bully people into for 'being uppity', thinking for themselves and not voting like we're supposed to because of what we look like, who we love or what gender we are. I refuse to trade one closet for another. We are all free. For those who want us to be in prison within our minds so they keep power. Tell them NO at the ballot box.

Thanks guys! I watched your video the first time right before the vote in 2020 and your message brought me to tears and prayers that folks would follow your encouragement. I thought of you over and over as the votes were counted in Philadelphia. And I wanted to kiss every person who maybe didn't think their vote counted in 2016, but turned out in the middle of a pandemic to vote in 2020 for change. And their vote DID MATTER!!! It mattered so much others tried to find a 101 ways to erase their vote after the fact. I'm a middle aged white woman so blessed and thankful for every young black person or person of color who decided to stand up after a year of protesting that their lives matter and vote for change. I thank God for you all. This is the song we all needed to hear this year. Change is going to come, but not without us speaking out. (Hope you guys saw the new movie "One Night in Miami" on Amazon Prime right now. It envisions one night when Sam Cooke, Muhammad Ali, James Brown & Malcolm X, hanging out and talking things through to envision change. The movie has some great music, too. I grew up listening to the Philadelphia radio stations playing Sam Cooke and other Motown musicians. Love his voice.)

@xPositivityx bless voter suppression takes many forms. Just a few, Ppl who serve jail time for their crimes often don’t get their right to vote back once their sentence is over. In Georgia ( where I am from) legislators often try to keep voting during working hours so it’s harder for ppl who cant take time off mid day to vote, especially ppl of color. Voting stations also have closed early when they are not suppose to close until everyone in line waiting has voted. Not to mention trumps been trying to incite fear and mistrust of mail in ballot voting which has been going on since the civil war and works fine.
@terrorzilla
@terrorzilla 3 жыл бұрын
@@MA-zg2pz I was a mail ballot voter for a long time in California and my experience with the mail theft by local postal workers or my local postal workers abandoning their trucks made me mistrust it. Request your ballot by mail and drop it off at your voting precinct or secure drop box at your county office. Your vote is too important. Mass voting by mail is a perfect opportunity for fraud regardless of what you look like, what you earn, where you stay. That's why even Jimmy Carter warned against it as part of that bipartisan commission.

I hope one day Americans will have a normal voting system like the rest of us. First we don't have to register, we are registered as citizens the moment we are born and the moment we are 18 we can vote. We vote usually on the weekends, we vote mostly in the schools around the area so there isn't much of a line because everyone has a different assigned place to go and if you don't find your voting card (it's like a passport where you get stamps when you vote) you can go ON THE DAY to the office to get a new one

I was 16 when this song was famous. After the Civil Rights Movement was supposed to have been resolved back then, I didn't think we would be back in this same situation again. I hurts my heart to see all this violence and hate. Back in the 60's we also went through the Free Speech Movement that caused untold violence and we're right back in the same place in that respect too.

And thats so sad. It's a scary world now so much simpler when I was younger. I NEVER cared what color people were if u were good then u were my friend. Nowadays I'm scared for my grandkids cuz my son in law is blk and I wouldn't want anyone eles in this world to be with my baby girl and the babies are absolutely beautiful. I just hope and pray they dnt have to deal with the idiots as they grow up. And I dare someone to come at them in any kind of way cuz it will be the last time it happened. People need to get over themselves and grow the hell up.

Then Medgar, Malcolm, King. Riots. Oh my soul. I know this song touches hearts of all colors, but blacks...this song was the song of their souls. The black experience cannot be explained as much as it is felt. The song is gut wrenching. I think he was killed. Like his murdered peers, he wanted change and had the power to bring it to so many...this made him an enemy. These men were messiah types.

The documentary on Netflix tells the story. If you want to know about the life and music of a legend, watch the doc then come on KZbin and listen to his music. For me he is the best male singer that ever lived and I sincerely love my black music and artists. But Sam Cooke was the fist singing voice I remember from the age of 4 years old. I wept when he died and have never stopped loving him. I am not alone in this.
