Interesting about the "keeper's test" (?) Is how often the manager is the last person who notices someone's value, as in many circumstances the person unintentionally "competes" or represents a conflict of interest to that manager..in fact, that may be a good sign the person is valuble.

Fair criticism but bad managers themselves should not pass the "Keeper's test" if its working properly ;)
