@xupb01dmw4 жыл бұрын
Hands down, one of my favorite songs by Sam. I don't understand why people are not listening to him in the states!!!! He is brilliant! He is the new Springsteen with his story telling. He's telling a story that captures the essence of what it's like to grow up poor, hungry, and alone, with shitty role models and shitty parents who were well-intentioned, doing the best that they could, but never quite enough to protect their kids from the world, and never being able to prevent them from developing resentment. So many fucked up lives out there - some make it, some don't. Some get passed it, some don't. So. Fucking. Good.

This tune purs me in a place of thought, it really makes me realise all the shit ive come over and managed to deal with. It reminds me of my background and the reason i should be grateful to even have a roof over my head, my mum struggled when she was 17 to bring me up alongside my dad, a lot of shit times and through it all, i feel at home whenever i hear this song.
