They have no purpose which is why they have dim lyrics and are overly tuned to give it that something so its not too boring. That's being said, auto tune is great when used properly and I don't think we should be falsely claiming songs are better than others because of how much tuning you can hear. It would be better to say you miss genuine art made for a reason than to spit on technology.

For once, in years, I have found THE song. For my loneliness, for my fears, for my time, my self reflection and growth. A song I listen too, to not only remind me where I am, but more so where I was. Where I would want to be. The video, also holds a message too me, being so use to be swallowed up by the crowds in the city as that’s where I live, and feeling knocked over and left, but picked up and held, all at the same time, is truly riveting, and a very raw emotion, the contradictions that come with the city, and being there, the company with the lonesome, the work, and the struggle, the highs, and the fall that comes with going up. It has been put into words, into art, into music, that lives on, till one day, I will no longer. And that to me is a beautiful thing.
