Euphoria was over for me the moment Angus Cloud passed away. Not only because Fez was my favorite character, but because symbolically Angus dying from an overdose almost feels like a curse for a show about drug abuse. It’s incredibly sad and he deserved better. It would almost certainly be incredibly traumatic for everyone involved to continue. The show wasn’t good enough for that kind of mental strain.

very dramatic take. all respect to angus, but the show will be fine. almost nobody was tuning in for his plots and the show is not just about drug abuse. not like it does a great job at handling drug abuse anyway, on screen or off (considering it made dominic fike’s addiction worse and could not have been good for angus’ addiction). the show can’t stop just cause they lost one cast member who most people forget is even a character.

I know that Zendaya is very invested in Rue's story and seeing it through - she's expressed how much Rue means to her, that she deserves a happy/optimistic ending, that several people have told her how important Rue is to them, etc - and of course Sam wants to do more with this series he created, but why is HBO still entertaining this? How is Hollywood still trying so hard to work with this guy? It's been years now, actors have moved on, the actor of the most beloved character tragically passed, fans seem pretty checked out and were very vocal about how unimpressed they were with the previous season, that same previous season itself had several issues during production including not meeting deadlines and last minute changes being made as the show was airing, the more reasonable & amiable half of a dynamic duo passes away, too, so now there's nobody there to temper Sam's worst impulses... Why are they still chugging along like this show is still worthwhile & a good idea to go along with? Its cultural impact was kinda limited to season 1, and although season 2 had the whole world talking, a lot of that talk was largely critical of the show's quality. Why are we still talking about this, at this point? What info are they working off of that we the audience can't see, that is keeping them trying so hard to juggle all these balls??

I think an interesting time jump factor would be about a high school reunion. They could also imply that Rue has been sober for several years and explore the nuances that can lead to relapse and finding one's way out of that sort of pitfall. They would acknowledge Angus' passing and how it impacted the way they all moved forward in their lives. I'm also interested to see how Cassie and Maddy's beef went in the future. Like what if they (no longer being friends) are in competion business wise and there is a lot of bsck biting there.

As someone who has been in a psychiatric hospital for 3 years I immensely relate with all characters especially rue and young jules - especially the Bipolar, self-harm and depression portrayal it makes me feel seen. I am really sad of the loss of angus cloud and other key members but I hope that it will be okay (And also as someone in high-school age it will be bittersweet to see the characters age). It's also a shame about what happens behind set walls and I hope everyone involved will be ok. Thank you for making an amazing video and I hope your light feels better soon :)

Despite the shows issues, I recently watched the show start to finish and actually want more. Season 2, to me, fixed a lot of the issues I had with season 1 and I’d like to see if they can redeem themselves from some of the previous criticisms. I personally don’t see the actors as perceivably minor, but… The biggest issue I still have is the over-sexualization of teens. I’d like a show like this that just doesn’t do that…either with characters of age, or without those scenes altogether. Skins but without minors constantly having sex, please. The show deals with issues that people older than high school age go through, so I don’t understand why this is problem so frequent.

If euphoria wanted lasting power it needed to be set up like degrassi, where it’s a revolving door of new generations and students. Not saying to be weird and ageist and just boot og characters, but the actors should grow up with their characters and have mature arcs. Tbh Euphoria should've been a miniseries, season 1 wasnt perfect but it ended on a really good note. It felt tragic and bittersweet, a short glimpse into the fucked up lives of some teens. Now it feels like its about to become a stereotypical trashy teen show if it goes on much longer. S1 also felt like every character had equal importance in the story. Meanwhile s2 had so many dropped plot points and focused on these repetitive elements. I'd say there were 2.5 episodes that mattered

I watched the first season during pandemic and thought they ended on a good note, pointing some growth for characters but S2 was such a mess I dropped soon after. Twitter comments, youtube suggestions were raining down anyway why waste time? Here is what we heard from actors theirselves Barbie aside; Sydney said her character was written topless in most scenes and she had to talk SL down for unnecessary nudity scenes. Zendaya mentioned how she had to be up on SL's neck bc script wasn't ready and it was practically shoot whatever is written way of production for S2. I remember Dominic Fike saying as a healing addict show's atmosphere, script turned really triggering for him and there was no consulation offered. I have a feeling Angus might have suffered from this burden as well. Considering they didn't sue for Idol backstage Rolling Stone cover for defamation I take that one as close to facts. Even w/out any of this his work itself is very telling about his mindset so to speak. He is the worst case of nepo babies and Zendaya does not need to cater this loser's ego.

The fact that there are crew members blaming Zendaya blows my mind. Sam Levison takes FOREVER to produce a script because he refuses to listen to others, and then last second will produce a script that feels very rough draft, so then he is changing things last minute and delaying productions. And yet they want the whole cast, especially Zendaya to not work and just wait for Sam Levison to finally produce his script for Euphoria. Get a grip. She is the IT girl because she works and she works hard. She is able to lead the show because she works hard. And with how messy season two was, a lot of people only watch the series for Zendaya and the other cast members, not for the story cause they are a great group of actors but the script is all over and messy. And these actors need to work, they need to have a job to pay bills, maintain their level of success so that shows like Euphoria can keep it’s popularity through it’s cast, so they can get cast in future project after Euphoria is done because it will not be around forever. It’s been five years since the first season and we only have two season of 16 episodes total. Sam Levison has proven he is not the best boss to work under and ensure a show’s survival. The Idol was taken over and completely changed from the original concept by Sam and just became a glorified p*rno. What it was not meant to be what the show was originally when it was going to be directed by a woman. They need to stop blaming the cast for doing their jobs and getting work, and realize that Sam Levison is why Euphoria is in the state it is

They know from jump. They just want to benefit. The overall public find out about it later on but people in the industry know way earlier. They did it with Weinstein and now with Sam. Sam has been problematic from day one. If I, someone who’s in the industry and has proximity to the cast and the production circle know this, there’s no way she and her team didn’t know. He was always a creep who exploited young women. Look at the articles that came out. Her and her team also tried to make her a Weinstein girl like how he skyrocket Gwyneth’s career and then when his behavior became super public they distanced theirselves and made a statement like they didn’t know. They knew. They were trying to benefit from Weinstein’s clout in the industry even though he’s always been horrible.

She explained the lawsuits and that she has a history of that which we both know. She also still has ties to epstien.....just looking into the years she couldn't attend the Met Gala...it's sad really

I think it’s the end for euphoria. I feel like the world has moved on from these characters and for me personally I’m no longer interested in seeing such dark themes affecting young people. Plus the Petra Collins aesthetic is what made most people love the show and got people talking about it, and with that gone along with characters like Fez I’m not sure why anyone would watch it.

Well they probably can’t afford the show… Zendaya is a superstar (probably will get her first Oscar nom with Challengers. IDGAF if you disagree!) and she has Emmy’s. Sydney is VERY good at marketing herself and establishing relationships with studios considering her humble upbringing (average girl NOT a Nepo baby) and has two Emmy nods for two different roles in the same year (Euphoria and White Lotus). All she needs to do it take on an UGLY role. Like Charlize did with Monster. Sydney is really strategic as her own brand. Jacob is a leading actor and is using his star power more sensibly than say, Noah Centineo. Jacob is going more the Rob Pattinson route. He is young and will do blockbusters AND indies. We will definitely see him in a leading role as a superhero at some point. But also, he can play an excellent villain/foil to a superhero if he desired. Alexa is low-key and still looks so young but also she has a stable career. I don’t think she WANTS to be a megastar. She just wants a consistent paycheck with roles that are deep but still comfortable. Hunter is a leading actress now (Cuckoo, Hunger Games) and she has writing credits. Her episode of Euphoria is the best episode. Storm got an Emmy 🎉🎉🎉 So yeah they would have to pay them a lot more to get them to commit to coming back.

I mean, let’s be real, the shows writing has beeeeen a mess. There were too many storylines and they’ve been drawn out. Not to mention the shows poor way of displaying a timeline. Untimately tho, Sam shot himself in the leg with the idol. Taking on a whole ass other show without completing his bread and butter show was….bad business. And then the death of angus. This show is genuinely cursed and I lost interest honestly when they did those two random ru and Jules specials

I feel like S3 really needed to conclude on their graduating year of high school, & bc so many subplots were never tied up from both seasons, the major delays, & both Kevin & Angus’ tragic passings, it just doesn’t make any sense to do it. The only good thing about S2 was really that it showed the consequences of what S1 irresponsibly glamorised to impressionable teens or young adults. It’s just not realistic to think that a time jump this many years later will even serve a purpose, outside of all the other general mess. I hope HBO execs are doing research for feedback - can it guys, & get Sam the hell out for good.
