WE NEED TO GET THIS INFORMATION TO EVERYONE! I WAS A 24-7 BINGE DRINKER AFTER MY RELAPSE FROM AA. Ended up in feria hospital and a doctor gave me naltrexone and I remembered watching one little pill and that’s what’s started my journey. I can finally say that I can take alcohol or leave it! Truly a miracle

So glad to hear your story Sam I lost my brother to chronic alcoholism and your story made me cry for the loss of the beautiful man my brother was but also tears of joy for your decision to embrace life .I wish you all the very best in your new found life .

Truly an amazing testimony! I begin TSM soon and can’t get enough of these videos. Thank you both!

I loved this video. I consider myself a long-time, heavy, daily drinker so I was wondering if this would really work for me. Hearing Sam's story is very inspiring. I tried Naltrexone months ago and had some success but I also continued smoking large amounts of weed too, so I think I sabotaged myself. I am on my second day trying TSM again without the weed this time. Hopefully, I can beat it.

Such a great interview. Sam is so eloquent in relaying his tsm journey. Speaking as someone just embarking on a tsm, and after drinking heavily for many years, I found this interview inspirational. Thank you.

This is very impressive and Sam is a very humble person. As someone who has a script for Naltrexone, but hasn’t quite made the commitment, and who is very involved with The Naked Mind, I’m motivated to double up my efforts! Thank you, both!

This is awesome! I agree Sam is such a kind soul, very grateful to tell his story. Also I know this naked mind is helping so many people as well. Wishing you all the best ♥️

Impressive story. I never heard someone drinking to that level that Sam did. And in a three month period getting this results is proof for the method. He also describes the problem of getting Naltrexone from the doctor. I got it from my GP because i did study on the method, and i found a councellor in the Netherlands (maybe the only in this country who does this), and that gave my GP the reason to subscribe Naltrexone. I will wait awhile and then update my GP. I think he is interested, because i bet the GP knows many more clients having drinking problems. Funny i also took 25 mg (halve of tablet) and still do not use more than that. Only once i did take the other halve of the pill, but that was because it wat 5.5 hours after taking the first 25 mg. It was a long party where most of the people went on to 5 a.m. (oh my god!), the party started 6 p.m. the day before (11 h party.....). But i left already at 0:15 a.m. Normally that would be 5 a.m. as well. And only 4 beers that whole evening (from 6 p.m. to 0:15 a.m.). This is after 2 months TSM. Before the TSM that would probably 20-25 beers or so. Now 4 days in a row no drink, and not even wanting it.

My doctor asked me about 3 times if i took heroin, and if i took it while on this medication i would die. So maybe theres some issue surrounding drinkers who use other drugs aswell.

It's because if you're addicted to opiates, naltrexone will put you into withdrawal immediately.
@tinaserafina Жыл бұрын
It’s also used to treat opioid use disorder. But, its a black box warning of you use naltrexone and opioids together as you can go into respiratory distress. It’s not first line treatment for OUD but it is used.

Did he not get any withdrawal symptoms with the pill?
@thrivealcoholrecovery2 жыл бұрын
I don't believe he did if I'm recalling correctly. Many people don't as it helps to reduce gradually...though some might if they reduce too quickly

@@thrivealcoholrecovery thanks for your reply. Because my brother wants to start TSM but was ask to do 1week of home detox, I think will be hard to commit for him.
@bluesdirt6555 Жыл бұрын
I’ve been drinking for about the same time and frequency, and started the pill two weeks ago. No real withdrawal symptoms just anxiety, foggy brain,and tired . I’m only a beer drinker so could be different.

@linbinnash Detox is unnecessary prior to starting The Sinclair Method.
