Yep, completely normal. I've always thought that if you are two people who find each other attractive enough and know each other enough to get married, why wouldn't you want to be doing it a lot of the time. If you're not, there might be something not quite right, like someone's not being 100% truthful of their feelings/attraction/self-esteem/etc. And if you believe everything else is right, maybe seek a professional opinion, because a lot of people have hormonal imbalances etc. Wanting to do it is a natural instinct, so if it's not there, something might be wrong. I'm talking about a youngish newly wed couple of course. Things change over time. We're in our 50s now and don't do it nearly as often as at the beginning of the relationship, but we're not doing badly, the spark is definitely still there 🙂

Farab, that’s a wildly inaccurate statement. I’m a physician and couldn’t disagree more. Different people have different personalities and very different hormonal levels and interests… my wife and I have sex daily, sometimes 2-3 times a day. However, the average couple may have sex 1-2 times a week. There’s nothing wrong with people who do it more or less as long as they are happy, both partners.

@@michaelscott33 you seem to contradict yourself a bit there, claiming I'm "wildly inaccurate" and then going on to talk about hormone levels. There are obviously normal levels of hormones and being outside those normal limits can be due to a medical condition of which low libido could be a symptom. Could be something as harmless as HSDD or something more serious or even life threatening if left untreated. Like I said "Wanting to do it is a natural instinct, so if it's not there, something might be wrong", so a low libido especially in young people shouldn't be ignored and advice to the contrary could be dangerous.

Sam and Monica,regarding having a baby. I am 65 years old and I have come to realize ( I really needed to get in touch and know my wife/Partner) before we had children. 9 months pregnant,then a child,nothing is ever the same between the couple. The child becomes your focus and you lose certain things you didn't get to find out between the 2 of you. Those moments are what you needed for a strong foundation for you as a couple. Don't rush having a baby until you know your partner,things will be much better. You can read all the books,listen to all the so said experts. I have lived it and I think I know more than any expert. I am wiser at my age and can look back on things that I wish I would have done differently. Water under the bridge,paddling on. Take everything that is said to you with a grain of salt , if it makes sense , add that to informed information. Final results are a combined decision by the 2 of you , NOBODY else to make that important decision for the 2 of you. I wish the 2 of all my best , this is YOUR time to lead YOUR life. Yeah,parents and grandparents are when are we going to see grand children? Here is MY cocky answer to that "when you see them" !
