After having listened to many of your beautiful videos. You've become such a universal mother to me. In this life we might even be the same age. Or you could even be younger. Listening to the teachings is like being held by the Great Grandmother. Ever safe, ever loved.

that was powerful even for yoga nidra. i like that it was a genuine meditation, that after a slow body scan with careful instructions it transitioned into a lying down awareness meditation while in the nidra state itself, something i actually didnt expect as most other guided nidras either use it to perform some visualisations, and/or let one rest there a little before bringing you out of that state.

This is incredible thank you so much 🙏🏼🙏🏻🙏🏾 Edit: I'm now doing this at night in bed and in the morning first thing and throughout the day in my mind, I'm processing decades of trauma trapped in the body working with the Dhamma and this guided meditation and I can't express how healing its been, thank you so much Jayasaro your Dana blesses us and may you be blessed 🙏🏼

I got so calm & relaxed that I was afraid and couldn’t properly relax my stomach area out of fear of being too vulnerable! Trauma processing came up soon after. Although it was not what I came to this practice for, it was obviously very needed as I felt called to it. I’ve been using your guidance on and off since January and you’ve been a big part of my trauma / childhood wound recovery. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with everyone. Such a powerful thing to hold and to do! ❤

I felt asleep while watching myself i couldnt move i freaked out after i put my whole attention to my hand then i could move. Is this normal? What should i do next time?
@SamaneriJayasara
@SamaneriJayasara 3 жыл бұрын
Sure, it's normal in the sense that anything can and does happen - there is nothing to fear or worry about. You entered a transcendental state whereby the observing mind separates from the body - this is a deep, alpha like state that is facilitated by these Yoga Nidras. In fact it is the intention to enter that in order to give the thinking mind and physical body complete rest. You 'freaked out' because it was a new experience and because we are so identified with our bodies as our self that when we 'drop' the body consciously or subconsciously in meditation or yoga nidra it can feel frightening. This is all good though and signifies the slow dissolution of the ego. Nothing to fear here except fear itself - which is not real and only a product of the mind. Just relax and let go.

Would yoga nidra lead to turiya state ?
@letsdomath1750
@letsdomath1750 3 жыл бұрын
Yep, but you may only catch glimpses of it the first couple of times you practice it. It will be easier to return there, even while not doing the technique, after consistent repetition.

🙏. When I attended a teacher certification class, I was introduced to yoga nidra and they did this body scan. And i found all schools do this body scan. I went on with this tradition and that day came when I really struggled with myself to do this. On one hand i put forth pointers of non duality. Shankaracharya', maharishi, maharaj' teaching. You are not the body and you are not the mind. And after asana, you do a body scan telling a practitioner to pay attention to the body. 😞
@SamaneriJayasara
@SamaneriJayasara 4 жыл бұрын
Sure, but that does not mean that we don't care for and attend to this vessel of the Spirit (so to speak). We are not the body, and do not need to identify as it, but neither should we reject, deny, or hate it. The body needs attention and to be listened to. The body has it's own deep intelligence and can tell us what is needed when our rational minds refuse to listen to what is going on at the deeper levels. I find Yoga Nidras enhance and deepen all other meditation "practices" (for want of a better word), and enables one to enter that state between waking and dream, maintaining clear, bright Awareness. Very powerful stuff. Systematically relaxing each part of the body prior to entering that state is key to it. The two extremist views can be subtle and can creep in if we are not careful - either denying or affirming "this body". Denying the existence and value of the body leans towards the Annihilationist/nihilistic view. Affirming it (or anything else as permanent) leads to the Eternalist view. Both are erroneous views. The Buddha always taught the Middle Way Dharma.

from what i learned and experienced i can say that the body can be seen as a miraculous tool, vessel, vehicle, which should be kept sharp and shining, so to say. otherwise: how could we express all the divine potential that "wants" to be realized, on this physical level? also yoga nidra is a wonderful way of finding that there is awareness during all states: waking, dreaming AND sleeping. awareness is always on ... .
