no practice has been this powerful for me. Keeping the attention on the pure sense of Being, or the 'I AM' is completely changing my experience of existence. My essence is becoming more clear, my understanding of self is becoming more clear in a way that I cannot adequately describe in words. And this is the most simple thing, just giving attention to the sense of your own presence. What could be simpler? and yet it can give you pure and direct knowledge of the source of Consciousness and can put you into such deep states of bliss and peace that you just want to return to that state all the time. Starting this practice initiates a process in which the illusory sense of self drops away because you are giving your attention to the authentic sense of Being and not to concepts you have of your "person". It has taken practice and effort to keep my attention on the sense of Being and at first I needed to remind myself and point myself to the sense of presence with words, telling myself mentally "go to the I AM". But now I no longer have to use words, I can automatically be in that space and an incredible peace ive never felt before is emerging in me. It is incredible. Of course there are distractions because life demands activity of us but I can't explain how this is beginning to affect my inner state of being. I have no desire to engage in any other path or practice at the moment. Meditating and resting in simple and pure Being is the highest way I can conceive of. God bless this discovery, glory to the highest supreme Being. Let all find rest and peace in the Heart.

otter rivers otter rivers wonderful, friend. A few day’s after writing this very comment something very tragic occurred in my life. It seemed to knock me off of my course, although I recognize that what we truly are is eternal and unchanging... nevertheless I lost touch with my practice and became depressed. But even through this there has remained a light in my heart and I would periodically acknowledge it, but quickly the depression seemed to sweep my attention back into the drama of the false self. Things are improving now, relatively speaking, and I am beginning to return to my practice and feel deeply connected to Being once again. I know that this occurrence has only been sent to strengthen my spirit and connection to our shared essence, for the increase of love and gratitude. I would love to keep in touch and share my experience with you as I continue in contemplation, and I would also love to hear about yours as well. Stay well my friend, always peace to you.

Great to hear your positive words .. with gods grace you have been able to get back to your practices .. am new to these meditations. So was looking for a little more on the process .. how do you reach that space of IAM and stay there .. isn’t that again mind THINKING something .. is it a feeling you hold on to ? Am a little confused.

This is the best one. The whole shebang. Just pay attention to the I Am as much as you can all your waking hours. That's it. ❣❣❣ Thank you.

"The "I am" in the body form can reach the highest state, only if you understand, accept it, and dwell there. Then you escape birth and death". The word "accepts" strikes me here. I wonder to what degree challenges with acceptance, even subconsciously and despite one's best intentions, hinder awakening?

@@anityasufi4079 I was told that having a concept or idea of “awakening,” even if I can’t identify what it is exactly, is an obstacle. Equally, obstacles are the path, also, there are no obstacles, obstacles are delusion. Nothing but what we call paradox in the world of spiritual life.

I was thinking about the first time I experienced the self and weirdly enough I started to play this...I remember when I was a very young child trying to make sense of the world around me ,I was looking at my parents talking to my aunt and uncle and trying to figure what they were saying because to me it sounded like mixed garbled sounds, the only sound I recognised before that moment was my name, at that point I had a subtle experienced of the self, after that everything has been a dream,(the mind was born)... only the past few years I have tried to return to that Beautiful moment and know deep down it is possible...its like jumping on a trampoline to look over a fence you only get a glimpse of what is on the other side...but i know one day I will find a door...this is my journey ..God bless you on your journey 🙏

Oh wow ..suddenly everything makes sense .. all my questions have been answered ... I kinda knew this.. suspected it all along... just got the validation ... I thank each and every soul that I met and each moment that formed my memory and shaped my destiny .. the good, the bad, the pleasurable, the painful ... The universe is not out there.. But in here.. what is out there is just an appearance of 'Iam' by the 'Iam' that you can worship in any form/any name you choose. Jai Ma! Help me transcend the 'I am' FYI... There is just one line in Bhagavat Geeta that sums up this whole video ... It is from the second chapter where Arjuna asks Krishna about the nature of the 'enlightened' one ..and Krishna says 'Atman evatmana tushtaha ..stitaph pragnya tadotchyate' ... ie ..'the person who delights in the self and self ALONE .. he is called the man of steady wisdom' 🙏🙏🙏

In self inquiry, listening to this, I Sean ask “Who” wants to be free, who is seeking enlightenment?” No one is there, just silence. So then “who is this that is silence?” The great zen question: “What am I?” and or “who am I?” Bodhidharma answered when asked: “I don’t know.” If there is no separate self, “who” is directing attention to the I Am? “Who” is sitting, meditating, seeking? Who? Who? Who? “For one who has realized the knowledge I am has also transcended it. For them there is no birth or death.” “Who” realizes the knowledge? Enlightenment is the ego’s biggest disappointment. The ego wants to be there for its own enlightenment 😡😆
