This is my favourite version of the song I've found! Samantha can belt it so well! It drives me crazy when eponine almost gets to a belt and then pulls back. It feels way more restrained that way. The way Samantha belted this just left the song feeling so raw and true.

@Luciano Francis Frederick IV Garcia Puyod lea salonga actually does pull back on known (I prefer the pulling back, she's not trying to restrain herself, she's only making her voice smaller and insignificant as a reflection of her revelation) She also does pretending faster which again, is a better choice in my opinion, for the pace of the song. People belt it out too much. It's not that she can't belt. Every eponine is an amazing singer who can probably belt, they just make a choice to not do it

I hadn't seen this performance before. The girl who was Nancy and Eponine has grown into an amazing woman. She sings this differently from when she was in the production. More contemplative and thoughtful. Less desperate and emotional, but we get what we are all waiting for with a phenomenal climax. Writing this in 2019. Which role next? I guess she probably gets to choose. I'd like to hear Elphaba, probably....
