Samantha, budget advisory, in my mind would be the only help, to get you on your 'own home' path. What you can't get at, you can't spend. Not sure if you have ever seriously looked at the type of proper trusted budget advisory businesses who do that. Or even if you have them there! We do in NZ. Govt run. You sit down with your own advisor and work out your monthly financial needs. ( not wants) 😊. It's tough, but it would get you there. Maybe add to your needs list a regular professional who you could speak to in regard to your mental health. I know you know that there is a connection here. Don't feel as you said, "ashamed" of your finances; We all experience it to some degree as well. Just keep at it and also remember -- *everything* you vlog is a tax write off, this helps tremendously each April (just be diligent with tracking it all).
