Hi Sam , great video’s as always I was also curious about you mentioning a lot of golf Rs being sold as it seems to be a trend at the moment. I had a free valuation on my golf R 65 plate and a figure of 15,300 was quoted . my car is straight from the show room and has been looked after very well. It’s good to know it still is worth pretty good money.

Thank you for the positive feedback! For sure Golf R's are holding firm and most quotes tend to mean your car will be sold for 3-5k more by a dealer from what I have been hearing from others. I don't think prices will fall either heading into 2022 so good times to stick it out with your R 👍

Thank you! The TCR is fantastic. I think the main difference you will notice with the MK8 R is the unlimited traction it seems to have as you have to be a bit more gentle with the TCR. Both cracking cars though 👍

@@SamAustin I had a 7.5 manual 310bhp, but my clutch went ( not my driving) the garage replaced for free but that was an awesome car aswell...

@@peterorourke9049 Nice set of motors 👍 be interested in your thoughts going from manual to DSG, and if you had the choice which transmission would you have gone for on the TCR and Mk8 R? 😎

@@Pete7.5R TBH, I was always a manual " geek" but now I have used the DSG on my TCR I would stick with DSG as you can still use the paddles for manual.....

Sam which exhaust do you think is louder mate… the TCR with akrapovic or the ED45 akrapovic?

Great question! Thinking about it more I would say they are very similar but maybe the ED45 made slighter louder one off bangs but the TCR was a bit more tuneful if that makes sense. I would be happy with both put it that way 😁
