Had one in my ear Miles from anywhere...I could hear it sucking (I thought it was my heart racing). Finally realised it was a leech when I was sticking cotton buds it there.. Took a bit of effort not to panick-actually thought about setting off the epirb. Didnt have any salt but eventually remember the flavouring for 2 min noodles would have salt in it so I poured the lot into my ear!The thing went nuts !About 15 minutes later it splooged its way out (it was huge).. Best feeling I've ever had... Anyway got an ear infection days later. Doc said never burn them or apply salt because they vomit their bacteria inside the wound.. He said scrape off with a knife or credit card. (wasn't really an option for me though)..

I think it was ebay 🤔 not 100% sure but the brand is MegaGear hope that helps you find one.

No... I always carry a rain jacket (ridgeline) I'm wearing it in the video. Sometimes I take thermals pending weather. 3 layers of SITKA tops no change of pants. 1 spare pair of socks and jocks if 3 nights.
